All three pistol safeties are deactivated when the trigger is pulled -and automatically activated when it is released. 1: The trigger safety is incorporated into the trigger in the form of a lever and when in the forward position, blocks the trigger from moving rearward. To fire the pistol, the trigger safety and the trigger itself, must be deliberately depressed at the same time. If the trigger safety is not depressed, the trigger will not move rearwards and allow the pistol to fire. 2: The spring-loaded firing pin safety projects into the firing pin channel and mechanically blocks the firing pin from moving forward. When the trigger is being moved rearwards, a vertical extension of the trigger bar pushes the firing pin safety upwards, clearing the firing pin channel. During the slide cycling process, the firing pin safety automatically reengages. 3: The rear part of the trigger bar, which has a cruciform shape, rests with both arms on the drop safety shelf located in the trigger mechanism housing. When the trigger is pulled to the rear, the trigger bar begins to move down off the shelf until finally separating from the firing pin lug. During the slide cycling process, the trigger bar is lifted and caught by the firing pin lug. The trigger bar is reengaged by the firing pin lug.

Shot my first pistol the other day at a local range, randomly picked the glock 22 to rent. Had more kick than I would've imagined, I'm used to shooting shotguns, but that thing was pretty nice.
@mrapple37028 жыл бұрын
+noeezyfluff A .40S&W would not be my first choice as a first pistol. But the one good thing about the Glock 22, 23, and/or 27 is that you can throw in a 40-9 conversion barrel and shoot 9mm out of the handgun.
@noeezyfluff8 жыл бұрын
+MrApple that is really convenient, im sure it'd be pretty easy too . I've kind of been leaning towards 9mm anyway, just because of prices
@mrapple37028 жыл бұрын
noeezyfluff You can't go wrong with a Glock 19. That being said, I bought a Glock 23 Gen4 along with a few add-ons so that I could have a Glock 9mm pistol that would occasionally shoot .40S&W and .357Sig. I like versatility.
@noeezyfluff8 жыл бұрын
+MrApple yeah versatility is definitely important, only problem is ive got not hands (piano player lol) so I really can't handle the compact/subcompacts comfortably.. or is the 19 full size? I always get them confused
@mrapple37028 жыл бұрын
noeezyfluff The 19 is a compact. I would recommend the Glock 19 Gen4. The grip texture is gripper and the grip is slightly thinner than the previous generations of Glocks. If it doesn't work for you then take a good look at the S&W M&P series pistols; they're great guns too.

Waiting on the background check for mine right now lol i traded a Ruger Mark 2,Smith&wesson model 22a1,and a Sccy cpx-2 for it at a gun show lol. I'd rather have one really good gun than 3 decent guns well. The s&w sucked the Ruger was great and the Sccy was decent

Why would you ccw such a large and heavy gun. Go for a Sig p938 or ppk
@GunsHarleysUSA9 жыл бұрын
+ConditionBlack Some people like the extra fire power of a bigger weapon, I for one carry a Glock 22 and if I go into Mpls or St Paul I even carry my Glock 21 loaded with 230gr Speer Gold Dots. I also have a small S&W Shield 9mm I carry from time to time and I have all the baby Glocks which I carry when I feel like it. And I shoot all my carry weapons 4 times a month, each and everyone of them. The main reason I carry the larger weapons most of the time is because if shit goes down I want as many rounds as I can carry and a bigger caliber is always a plus, because my life is worth the extra weight of a larger weapon, and besides you never know if you'll be facing one or five or even more assholes who want what you have including your life. What's your life worth to you?
