If you buy a G35 and a lone wolf 40/9 conversion barrel you basically have both guns.

So true, I don't see buying two pistols same size but just different caliber when you have that option. But people have grown and they do what they want to do I have a Storm Lake conversion barrel for my G35

@@therond.patron4959 is that barrel hood for competition? I was thinking about the G34. But I would rather the G35 and by a conversion barrel. But I will mainly shoot 9mm. So I was curious if those conversion barrels would work, and also do the come threaded to put a compensator on it. I own the G19,21SF,23,29sf all Gen 3. I live in CA.

the main thing with IDPA is to understand that it is a game. As long as you understand that you're going to develop "gaming" mindset and training yourself that way then go for it. 1) Too many new shooters try to shoot too fast. My recomondation is go slow and be accurate. Do worrry about the timer. Go for hits. Get comfortable with safe weapons handling. Loading, unloading and holstering. Some clubs offer orrientation that can be helpful too. Good luck.

Great video,Which one was the most accurate pistol look too close to tell without getting out old the ruler. I'd love see a shoot off against the, best 5" barrel competition factory designed pistols: XDM 5.25, M&P9L Pro Ser., Walther PPQ 5"M2, Glock 34, P226 5" and maybe few I don't know about.

In general, always go full size if possible. So the G17 would be a great option. I own a couple of the G17 and the G19s. The Gen 4 version is an improvement. So you'll enjoy it. Do replace the sights and the connector.

Hi I am looking to buy a G34 I often shoot 25 meters precission competition. I do think other sights might be in order to maximise my potential pts-outcome. what sights would be good for that purpose ?

i was planning on replacing the sights for sure...sights are one of my biggest gripes ( really my main one...the other being the grip angle...it just feels kinda weird ) about glocks .I'm leaning more towards the gen 3 until they figure out the issues with the gen 4's

I own 5 glocks, one being a 17 and one being a 35. Nice thing about the 35 is you can swap out to a 9mm conversion barrel from lone wolf, use G17 mags and you have a Glock 34. Just a thought for those considering the two.

for those who have little knowledge make sure when you buy the connector it doesnt need any type of mods...in that case you need to be very careful...i personally polished every single part inside my gun which os a g37 and i swear it feels like the connector does..other than the reset...you keep the same reset...yet you get such a smoother trigger...saves a lil time and ripping the gun down etc..try a good polish job on your trigger assembly and the firing/ejector rods if its the way you like!!

can you run a standard glock 34 in the 35 I have a lone wolf barrel that i purchased but because of its tight tolerances it is picky on ammo I wasn't sure if the outside diameter of the 9mm factory barrel would be to sloppy in the 40 slide to function

Hey wishse, I have been thinking about doing IDPA and I was wondering if there are any drills you would suggest that would help me prepare, or any standards I should try to obtain before I enter into a match? Also, I have been debating between getting a Glock 34 or 35, which is how I stumbled upon your video.

Just took my new "to me" G35 gen 3 out today. What a delightful gun to shoot. Very little difference recoil wise compared to my G17 gen 4 and super accurate. I picked up some Federal aluminium 180gr cheap Wal Mart ammo and to my surprise it shot better than the brass Win 165gr. At 7 yds it was a ragged hole. Pleasant surprise when your gun likes cheap ammo!

The issues with the Gen 4s are fixed. Fit of the pistol is better as is the grip texture. Think you'd be happy with the Gen 4. I'd suggest you hold both then deciede.

Guns and Gear & On Target Training, LLC Hi there, have you considered looking into getting a Speed Ledge? Apparently they help with grip and recoil by giving your left thumb a lever to hold onto. Not sure if it would help in your circumstance, but they look like a good idea to improve control. Anyway, great video, thanks for sharing your experiences with these fine pistols, the Glock 35 is the front runner in my shopping list for 1st gun.
