Just bought the G-35 gen 4, Absolutely love this pistol, The 40 for me is perfect and this pistol shoots great, Why people pick the 9mm over 40 is a mystery to me, Unless you are a first time buyer, elderly which I am or a female who rarely shoots, Then I get it, But most say well my 9mm in +p+ is equal to a 40, Well a 40 is a high pressure round already, So if you need to shoot +P+ you might as well shoot a 40, Shoot what your comfortable with but the idea the 40 will fall apart compared to a +P+ is ridicules Ive shot the 40 since it came out and Ive yet to see one that fell apart from shooting the 40 I also reload and have never had a problem after thousands of reloads,

Ammo cost, availability and capacity is all I can think of. Also if you're carry gun is in 9mm might make sense for your full size to follow suit.

Heres the point your missing. The .40 itself isn't the problem, the problem is the gun in which you choose to shoot it. The Glock was designed to shoot 9mm. I don't want a gun that was simply made bigger to fit a .40 cal. This is where the glock has problems. They where out faster and are prone to problems. Buy a gun that was designed around a .40 cal. P229 or HK USP.

Glock has produced 40 cal close to 30 years I think by now all of the problems will be ironed out​@MrWicked98

Boy did they see you coming. I've seen it sold locally (MD) for about $675 with the 3 mags. I joined GSSF & paid $515 for mine about a yr ago. If you like Glocks, join GSSF for at least 2yrs & you can purchase one Glock a yr essentially at LEO prices. Lightened the trigger & the gun shoots just fine. Next will be the sights.

The G35 is my EDC. It is lighter than a 1911 and carries 16rds vs 8-9rds of 45acp. A 165/180gr bullet has more energy in target than a 180/230gr 45acp launched out of a 5in barrel momentum is close also just doesn't have the mass. I have a Storm lake match grade barrel and I get 1150fps from a 180gr Speer Gold Dot It's hard to beat and IMO just has good as a 45acp

I agree with your points..and for the ammo that's a great round and it hits like a hammer. I've carried Gold Dots for years, still do. When I carry my Glock 43 it's got Gold Dot's in it also.

Yes more power than 9mm or 45 ACP but almost the capacity of 9mm. Its strange that it got so unpopular.

You only need a 357 a barrel, not a complete upper. Of course you can use the 40 magazines that come with the 35. Plus, you can buy a 9 mm conversion Barrel bike kkm and shoot 9 mm as well. The only additional Park necessary r9mm magazines. My personal 35 23 and 27 hurl 3 caliber guns have functioned flawlessly

I agree, only the barrel is necessary for .357, the case is the same, and mags too are fine. 9mm compatibility I don't like, though I know it works for some people with just the conversion barrel. That's great that you are having great success with your 9mm barrel ! such a cost savings ... right now though 9mm is crazy to find and expensive, so it's great that you're set up for .40. thanks for your comments and for watching

Thanks for your review, was very clear. I have my Glock34 gen4, but as you say for self defense .40 sw would be better. About difference in recoil, its noticeble between 9 mm and .40..?

I have: 22LR upper, G22Upper, 357Sig extended barrel, 9mm conversion Barrel & 45Gap Upper & MechTech Carbine upper: in all 22, 9mm 357sig, 40sw, 40sw Long, 40sw Carbine & 45Gap=7 guns in 1.

On the Gen 3, the frame of the 22 and 17 are the same, the only difference is on the triggergroup, the ejector of the 17 is bent, the one of the 22 straight.

G40 is the only Glock with 4pound trigger pull. The rest are 5.5pounds. Great video and awesome gun . Cool🤘😎🤘🇺🇸

How did you come to the conclusion that the pistol Glock designed for competition use are SWAT guns? I have been in law enforcement for 14 years and none of our guys use a competition Glock for duty use, we all use either the full size 17, 22, or compact size Glocks, 19 or 23, whichever is more comfortable for the individual officer.

I think he's referring to the Glock buyers guide magazine. A couple of states in there says their S.W.A.T. teams use the 35.

Lots of agencies and SWAT teams use them. Better ballistics, more controllable, long sight radius for precision, etc. Same reason more and more are using red dots. Competition advantages carry over.

i ended up paying $893 for my g35... I wasn't impressed with the price but it comes NIB with 3 standard 15 round mags and the 2 backstraps. the ONLY and i mean ONLY, reason i paid out the ass for the g35 is because i've been looking for one for about 4 years now and in my eyes this was a ok deal.
