I love the G42 this is my edc. So easy to conceal, easy rack and handles really nice. Very happy with it

The hell with the people that dont free comfortable about ammo near a gun, or want ya to make sure its clear. Make sure its clear ya self and be done... Thanks for your time to make the vid. Good vid...my son just got me one. :)

I was part of a jury pool once where a dad shot his daughter with a gun he thought was emptied. He didn't double check and when he pulled the trigger it shot through the wall and hit her. She lived and fully recovered, but it was still a whole ordeal and expense I'd rather never deal with, which is why I always stress that point so much.

@@PostmasterPrepper Im talking about you and many others.....going on and on about it being unload and ammo being near the gun...you know you did it all over because some clowns in the comment section saying about is that gun clear.. Its about going way over board to shut those people up... Never said its not very important to make sure all guns are clear before showing off or what you did for the vid.

Thanks for the vid, bud. Love my 42. If I can offer one little recommendation, I'd advise that if you're going to pocket carry, try to keep that pocket dedicated to your firearm only. You mentioned being able to squeeze your phone in the same pocket, etc. To me, that's a recipe for problems. Dedicated firearm pocket + kydex covering the trigger = Winning combo (IMHO)

The first batch of 42 did have a feed problem that we factory-repaired. It was a feed issue with some of the earlier magazines and the feed ramp on the barrel. Later versions do not have the problem. There are markings in the gun when you remove the slide that tell you when it was manufactured and if you might have a problem. If the bullet was rounded on the front you would not, if it was flat you might but not necessarily with self-defense rounds.

I've been a Glock owner, on and off, since 1989. I re c rntly bought a G42 AND a G43 for carrying when anything else is too big. My preferred EDC is my Walther PPQ M2.

Good video. G19x had a lot of the initial Gen 5 upgrades and those are incorporated into the G42 (not Gen 4). Except for the barrel the G42 incorporated most of the Gen 5 upgrades. The trigger is Gen 5 (reversed springs on the sear) giving a better trigger then Gen 4. Bought mine, G42, first run with 01 magazines, and never had a problem with FTF or FTE and now have 03 Magazines. Purchased an ETS + 9 with and XGRIP and great feel. Shaved the followers on my 6rd mags and now all are 7+1 mags no extensions required. Very reliable and highly accurate with me to 40 feet with TFX-PROs. Added a TLR-6 adding very bulk as it is as slim as the barrel.

Cool video however, it gets tough to watch because your hand moving the glock 42 makes me dizzy. I have had a glock 36 (.45 auto single stack, 6 round magazine) for years and enjoy carrying it. Been thinking about the glock 42 or 43 to keep my 36 company : )

Bought a Streamlight tlr6 for my 42. Great addition. You can also buy mag extenders. Finally I added an after market replacement ghost bar for the trigger. I use a sticky holster that fits the light. Very comfortable IWB. Great package. This gun would be hard to get out of your pocket in a hurry. RFK, Rest In Peace, was killed with three rounds of 22lr from a cheap revolver. 380 is more than adequate. Nice vid.
