Thank you for this upload. It made cleaning my pistol so much quicker, and more complete. I was able to get to the parts that I was afraid of taking apart on my own. I also appreciate the fact that I can hear your voice. So many of the other guys don't speak loud enough. I mean it's a gun video, and most of the folks watching are gonna have a degree of hearing loss, lol.

This is one of thee best videos explaining the ENTIRE list of parts. MOST VIDEOS, including that of The Glock Store, don't even talk about the plastic sleeve that sits deep in the slide! Your's does! Thank You for that!.. Very informing.

Thanks for this. I already did all this by experiment, but your explanation confirms I was doing things right. Question for you: I've had more than enough misfires recently to wonder if my pin spring is too weak. Is that possible? This G27 has had several thousand rounds through it. The pin strikes the round but no discharge - so I have to re-rack by hand. Maybe bad ammo? It is a sick feeling - especially in the middle of a rapid-fire training session.
@HeyGunPeople Жыл бұрын
Not sure I would try different ammo, differ mags, check firing pin for chipped, bokken or worn.
@HeyGunPeople Жыл бұрын
make sure you two firing pin couplers are in right
@jsmcguireIII Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I did not mention the fact that I am using 9MM rounds in both .40 and 9mm mags so I may be adding too many variables. Plus, mixed ammo brands. I need to be more methodical in determining what is wrong. I just broke down, inspected and cleaned the entire assembly so maybe that will help (it was pretty grimy). Under a lense the pin did not appear chipped or damaged but clearly appeared worn. Is there a spec for that? @@HeyGunPeople

Great video, when do you know it's time to change the internals(firing pin etc) my G19 & G26 are from 1998, and I have put thousands of rounds threw them both ( Duty & off Duty ) also I have never taken that back plate to clean the guns unless the Job Gunsmith did when I had them service my pistols for whatever reason. Both guns work fine shoot as good as they did when brand new. My G42 gets unbelievably dirty so the next time I shoot it and clean it. I will do what you instructed. Again great video and thanks for any opinion you care to share, all the best.

Why is the firing pin sticking forward after pulling the trigger and has tension to push back with your finger? It seems dangerous, like it could slam fire.

Never pulled the pin until now as i look a your video... but wow, took to a Swiss range put 4 hundred rounds or so and it started to miss fire periodically a lot dirt in the tube and firing pin spring, ejector.. What do i do for the grime on the fire pin sprig.. can i use some cleaner on it (pin only)? thanks also passed my carryig permit for my company here as Vet Expat here and thanks for tips... really helped me cuz the Swiss just do not give out pan cake ccw's and security licenses..

Firing ping. When the gun is not loaded, the bullet is not in the barrel, when tilting the gun down, up, if you move the gun to the sides, you can hear how this part dangles inside. The sound is loud. I would like to understand, this should not happen, right? Thank you.
@HeyGunPeople5 ай бұрын
Sounds like you didn’t put the block back in. There’s a little plunger with a spring on the slide that holds your extractor in that also blocks the firing pin from wiggling like that.

These things are so stupid easy to work on that I bet as soon as they ban ARs they will specifically come after Glocks. Having to detail strip a Beretta 92 and CZ P07 slide and you have to fight tons of roll pins just to get at the firing pin.
