Good instructions...I was frustrated taking it off and decided to check youtube and after watching your instructions, I changed 3 mags in less than 5 minutes and added the grip extension.

Excellent video. I've been struggling trying to install my Pearce extensions onto my G26 mags. This video was very helpful and I don't have to use a c-clamp, as was suggested in a different video.

Thanks for video on using a sturdy table top.... I have watched the first two videos offered by KZbin but was unable to slide the base plate off until I saw your video....

Thanks a bunch. I tried a different way from a vid on youtube and it didn't really work. This method works great. I already destroyed a stock baseplate while putting some Pierce extensions on my G30S but I won't have this problem anymore.

Seen several vids on this, but I like the table trick. That will make it much easier to pop the base forward.

Good vid! I ended up doing it a little different with just using my hands. After doing the first one by sliding the under plate off, the second one I did was even easier. One person had an idea of using a C-clamp but I don't think using your body weight or the C-clamp is needed if you just slide the under plate off the spring the outer plate slides right off and as you say, make sure your thumb is on the spring while taking off the outer plate. Not as hard as I thought it was going to be. Again

C-clamp works, but your gotta be careful, because you can warp the metal liner. Thanks for posting

I actually used this method to remove my Pearce Grips. I had them installed when I first bought it. During reloads and sometimes normal firing, they pinch the hell out of my little finger. I love the way they make a subcompact feel bigger, but I'll have to find a way to sand down that sharp edge.

I've watched others on YT replacing the base, but yours is by far the better of them. Thanks for no-nonsense video. Now I'll try mine. chiconot

Very easy to do following your method. Aggravating as hell following the "book". Just a note to all, you will have to lean on this to get it to click. I wouldn't worry about breaking anything.

The pearce is nice and they make one that is just an extension, it will not add capacity, the texture is not exactly the same, but it looks like it belongs.

Malak, Great video. Thank you. I do have a question for you if you don't mind. I have a Gen4 Glock 26. I would like to add an extension to my mags for a better feel and better control. I really don't want or need to increase the magazine capacity. Which make and model baseplate should I order for a Gen4 that will not change capacity and that will match the look and feel of the Gen4 grip and stippling? Thank you, in advance, for your reply.
@steviesevieria18687 жыл бұрын
I actually got frustrated enough to use a screwdriver like a chisel and a hammer to tap underneath the base plate. It popped right off after none of these tips worked, and the mag has no damage other than a few little cosmetic scratches.

No need for the "table choke hold" just push the "tab" with the Glock tool and the depress either side and the base plate easily slides off.
@Garymayo7 жыл бұрын
this is not how they teach to remove baseplate in Armorer School. there is an easier way using only take down tool and one hand, one thumb really. everybody makes a easy job complicated because they do not understand what it is they are doing.
