Ok, Alejandra is the queen of rock in spanish... Is a very good and polemic singer, and she's very famous since late 80's... Now, Gloria, is the queen of hispanic pop rock... Her career was based on a very rebel music, wich talk about abortion, the teenage pregnacy, the general sistem of corruption in government and how the society is a bunch of sheeps... She was considered by some U.S. Press Companies as the mexican Madonna, but the difference between them, is Gloria talk about themes, more raw than Madonna, and created more polemic around her music, this fact was deeper with Gloria, because the white society (Madonna's market) was more open than hispanic one (Gloria's market), so, Gloria, was censored in all Mexico, for example... by the National Radio Stations Association (influenced by Catholic Church)... with her somg: 'La papa sin catsup' (the fry without ketchup), it has a very strong message on its lyric (feminist message), this act, made the song a huge hit and made Gloria, more famous in all hispanic world, because she was singing to wake up women against violence (by men to women) and avoid to be submissive to men. Something that was, and is still against Catholic Church and its practices.
