Im absolutely thrilled that u loved the house. Heartfire homes are extremely difficult to work with as messing with one thing will ruin the scripts is nigh impossible to find what it impacts. Many issues arose as i edited a vanilla crafting trigger that is connected to many items, which has spawned the items back into their original locations which i then have to fix one by one. It also then decided to disable items that arent meant to thus the missing items. The shrine is meant to be near the vampire den not hiding the treasure room. Ive made a seperate file that has everything enabled so you just need the key to walk in. Due to this nightmare of the vanilla system im just going to redo the enitre crafting system to avoid all these issues so that wont take too long.

Kudos to the mod author, modding the Hearthfire homes is a royal pain (one of the reasons, I'm sure, that we don't see very many of them). Those receipts in your inventory are part of the Heartfire system, that's how it tracks what you've already built, and they should be invisible and zero weight.

Getting back into Skyrim after a few years of not playing. Just wanted to say I really appreciate this channel. I've watched a couple dozen different housing videos trying to find the right one, and you're one of the few reviewers who actually *look at everything.* I'm sure while you're filming these you think "I should probably move along instead of toying with everything," but let me tell you, I *really* want to know how much storage a room has, whether it has objects that can be activated or harvested, whether the decor is static or not, what unique item display options there are, etc. Really irks me when the video just glosses over the room! I had downloaded the mod the second I saw it on nexus and endorsed the mod before I had even built it in game, don't care what glitches it has this mod is everything I could ever want for Windstad. The glitches will get fixed in time anyways. I've always loved the location of Windstad, and if you use Windstad Mine with this one it gives the feeling of a little town all your own.

Oh man wow, just wow. The exterior is brilliant. That staff house could totally be one's actual house somewhere and be comfortable. The same with the guard house. Also that greenhouse is brilliant, I just assume there is magic at work to allow for year round growing. hehe. I also really like the bridge looking sitting area, so calming. Okay oh wow. Wow. Wow. Yeah this is perfect. I'm going to ignore the mod issues and go with the nature of what it looks like it would be and I love the design choices. The flow of the first floor is great. I do wish the cellar had an actual stair to get down to it but the cellar itself is brilliant in design. The second floor seems really great too, though the kids room being a cross area does feel weird, though that might be conflict. Honestly yeah, this place is amazing and I would jump at living in it. So good.

There was one for LE that I think has tremendous potential, with the progress the modding community has made. Port of Windstad. It builds a whole little town around the manor, and if you take an aerial view of the town, it just looks right to me. I wish somebody would contact the original mod author and get permission to revamp it. And for anyone who says "why don't you do it?" I have kids, and I work 12 hour shifts. It would take me forever to make any meaningful progress.

Wow! What a stunning overhaul of Windstad Manor! I like how there are outbuildings and NPCs as staff. The exterior and grounds are gorgeous and offer a lovely view. The furnishings and decorations are beautifully done. I like the separate aquarium room. I love the bunny and its little bed and food and water bowls! That’s sweet how the mod author memorialized his friend’s bunny. Thank you for showing us another awesome player home.

Those two random beds are probably the children’s beds from the original Hearthfire house The aquariums come from the fishing mod, they don’t look modify. The Fishing mod gives you one aquarium in Proudspire as well.

Draco's Windstead Manor was the first mod I ever used . in my very first playthrough winsted Manor was the first player home I totally tricked out but One day I was on KZbin and I saw the Draco version of it and I was like what!!! wow!!! how do I get that So then I explored a little more and discovered oh it's that mod option that I've always ignored and that was the beginning of 2 years of entertainment.

I do not love fishing in Skyrim, here's a hint, if you stop by a fishing spot just jump in the water and grab the fish. It is faster and easier. Even with the slight problems this is a better Windstad Manor. I usually build it and then never visit again. For some reason I don't appreciate the wonderful view of the Swamp?! haha. It is truly an estate now isn't it!? Loads of places where I could spend some quality time just puttering around. Very nice to see the response from the mod author. Its interesting to get even a tiny insight into the challenges they faced to get this great mod to us. I am sure the bunny rabbit and I will become fast friends. Ignore the rumors that it is related in any way to the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog. A rumor I will spread to prevent bandits from even thinking of messing with the place. Some rusted and dented shreds of armour strewn around the paths to the estate should convince the riff raff that fluffy death awaits them should they continue. Mine will be the estate where the guards will all know the order to PARADE THE RABBIT!!! An intimidation display calling for the Captain of the Guards to Riverdance along the upper wall while holding the Estate Guard Rabbit over their head. A move sure to keep less desirable people away for fear of the rabbit rumours or that everyone in the place is daft. Either way mission accomplished.

Quite enjoyed your walkthrough on the latest Windstad mod Feb! While Lakeview due to it's location I think will always be the ideal Hearthfire home for many the mod author really did a great job in making Windstad far far more desirable than it is in base vanilla especially with the views of the sea and the outbuildings take advantage of that. I personally (and I'm probably alone in this regard) prefer Windstad more than Lakeview when it's done properly as this mod author has as I love the sea. Up until now Tranquil Windstad plus Orlando or Draco's wall's plus one of the many pool/custom basement mods was how I improved it for my own use. Also the Windstad mine to make the desolate area more "alive". Now a aspiring mod author just need to improve Heljarchen on a similar level. Not much currently exists for it beyond Orlando/Draco's walls. I've been using the Heljarchen pool and hot bath ex mod in tandem with the heljarchen farm plus a LE Skyrim mod I converted called Heljarchen Estate and it works... but yeah something like Glorious Windstad is needed. Plus nothing I listed does anything to the interiors of Heljarchen itself except the custom basement mod for the basement.

yep mod conflict as some of the objects are from original mod shrine location is in correct location for original mod and more likely a conflict and I believe the misplaced beds are from original mod Children's room if remember correctly still looks awesome

Hi Febirth! I noticed the furniture collision in your Windstad Manor walkthrough. If you have "More Informative Console" you can bring up the console and click on all the furniture pieces and the console should tell you which mod the item is coming from.

Too many bugs to deal with, and that's the main reason people don't mod the Hearthfire homes... I haven't found a single one that isn't bugged. Some bugs are tolerable, but the ones on display in this mod are deal breakers. In the Proudspire mod I'm currently using I'll find an open door upon first entry, that is in the basement hallway that leads to nowhere.. close it and it's gone. Then there's some blinking textures in the main bedroom wall, it's annoying if your paying attention, but not game breakingly horrid. I tried the Lakeview mod, but I always ended up with a glitched wall in the smithing area that would trap my char. I just hope if this 'feature' is stuffed into ESVI that they fixed their buggy nonsense. I'll pass on this mod, because I'd rather have the Winstad Mine mod, and I'm sure they will not play nice together.

Exactly! It kills me to see these bugs even though aesthetically, this is exactly the Winstad I would live in. It also hurts to spend all the time gathering materials and building stuff only for there to be missing shelves and clipping and all that.

For info the mod is set to hidden atm that said I had a few problems for some reason a mining script is included (god knows why) My mining script form CCOR was overwritten secondly it overwrites A LOT of textures bridges, certain nordic ruins, etc. My advice is if you use it put it high in the load order.

From the mod author:- the only thing AE is in need of is the fishing creation club esl. other than that its got no requirement for the version of the game this is because of the aquarium in the basement. can try and remove it to work with AE but currently im not sure how to remove the master of the creation club fishing esl from my mod. ill look into it though
