Valtellini said on JRE that the knockdown that ended the fight had him concussed and unable to see any light for six weeks. Dutch kickboxing. If you're an athlete who rose in that scene, you've literally been introduced to them extensively even before your first fight. Nobody makes it to A class, much less the world stage, without developing blocking and leg endurance.

mjstecyk you have zero business acumen my friend. Fan support and viewership is one of the biggest factors in athlete pay. The bigger the cake the bigger your piece of the cake will be. Also, what sports are you comparing “fighting” to? If you compare MMA organizations across the board there aren’t big pay discrepancies amongst the top. The UFC holds the biggest market value in this oligopoly despite not paying fighters the highest. This tells you fighters consciously choose where to fight and prefer legacy and prestige over pay and sponsorships.

As someone who has trained Muay Thai since I was a child, the idea of not using elbows and the clinch is still fascinating to me. I suppose it makes things more interesting for the crowd, but I will never understand why Glory allows knees and not elbows.
@victortorres78516 жыл бұрын
MAYH3M0NE maybe because elbows lead to more cuts and fights can be ended more often due to blood rather than extended action. also notice when the knees are fired there is not much clinch maybe a quick head pull to aim the technique but no legit clinch work. it's really to produce fights like this where there is much more action at a quicker pace to keep fans interested. I appreciate it for what it is, if you want knees dumps vicious elbows and clinch work (which are awesome) watch Muay Thai. if you want Dutch style kickboxing and power combinations watch Glory (and maybe classic k-1)

Ooooh those leg kicks. Now I know why a taekwondo fighters rarely won against a kick boxer or a muaythai fighters. We were not continued to take than devastating leg kicks from an extremely well conditioned shin. I learnt it the hard way. Being a national taekwondo champion I was a bit arrogant when I enter that mma gym. And challenge a muaythai fighter inside the octagon. And I was destroyed. In a round. I absolutely have no ideas to deal with leg kicks. I can parry slip roll lean back from boxing combo cus I train boxing for years. But I don't expect such a devastating pressure from a muaythai fighter. I learn my lesson and join that gym the next day. I empty my cups to fill it with new techniques
