Watch some more of my free content. If you roll with my style, get on the 12 Week Post Pregnancy Plan. I personally guarantee you will have ZERO REGRETS and feel so grateful that you don't have to figure out what to do that will maximize the recovery of your postpartum body naturally with exercise, while being honoring of your limited time as a mother and wife. You will find it so incredibly refershing compared to woke, progressive agenda fitness programs that are out there; you'll be poured into as a wife and mom, feel encouraged, deeply rewarded and get real visible results. Hey Ashley! Absolutely loving your mindset at 6 weeks postpartum. I hope that I can draw on this when I am in my postpartum period this Spring. I practice fertility awareness and learned everything that I know from the Fertility Friday podcast, book, and Taking Charge of your Fertility. I have practiced this method for several years now and used it to prevent pregnancy and also to conceive with intention. It’s truly a beautiful thing. I use a good old fashioned oral basal body thermometer for the most accurate reading, but I may change my tune after baby #1 makes her appearance and things get busier, like you said. I do believe that BBT is a crucial part of fertility awareness, as it is the bio marker that confirms ovulation occurred. I’m happy to help you in any way that I can!! ♥️

Hey Ashley! Love the update and also your video on fb when you explained how only Christ can satisfy you was super encouraging! The taking charge of your fertility book has a whole mini-chapter on charting during breastfeeding in the appendix. It’s helpful! Charting is really tricky and confusing until your cycle starts back up, so I just chart my signs and use a back-up method until my cycles get more predictable and regulated. My most accurate temp is the first time I wake up even if it’s 2am.

I have been on your prenatal work out plan and I've never been big fitness person (I did not have any of those fitness ball, dunbells, or kettlebells so I borrowed it from my brother in law haha). It has been so good for my mental health as it has been an emotional pregnancy than my first two kids. I have cried in one of your work out videos when you commented "you are a good wife and mama", I was like "girl stop! I can't work out with all the tears streaming from my face". I have been loving it and am looking forward to the postpartum work outs as well. It has been such an eye opener. I’ve been listening to Fertility Friday for a while as well. I use a cheap basal body temperature thermometer cause I can’t afford the one that people wear on their arms.I do my best to take my temp Eve day when I wake up and pay attention to my CM to know when I’m in my fertile window or not. I suppose we are done, but I wouldn’t be upset if there was a baby #4 in our future, even if I’m a little older and things are already crazy 🤪Congratulations on sweet baby Laurel and thank you for all you do.

I have done FAM for years but didn't really keep track while nursing either of my babies (I also don't get a period until I drop to about 2 nursing sessions a day at 12-13 months). It seems like it would be hard to track a cycle and therefore know if you need to abstain from intercourse if you aren't having a regular cycle. If you pay attention to fertility signs, I bet you will know when it starts revving bak up. I will have to check out that podcast you recommended specifically about using FAM postpartum. Thanks! Thank you SO MUCH for continuing this amazing work/business/outreach for mamas! I first found your videos & plans 3 years ago when we were pregnant with Baby #4 and tackling an international move to Tokyo, Japan. Fast-forward to today; we’re (mostly) thriving in Japan (despite world events, a global pandemic, etc) and - surprise! - we find ourselves pregnant with baby #5! (Fertility Awareness Method works great if you stay vigilant and remember the calendar correctly 🙃 But an upside is I am certain of the conception date - a first for any of my pregnancies) All my cute little plans didn’t include this precious little life, but I am slowly coming to grips with setting my plans aside and finding joy in the bigger picture. The hardest part has been pressing pause on the amazing fitness goals I was striving towards. Combined with the prenatal exercise plan, your videos - especially the recent ones with your precious Laurel Rain - have been such an encouragement to me! Thank you for taking the time to create these amazing resources! (Bonus was seeing my before&after photo from baby #4 in the credits of this video - I did it before, so I can do it again! 💪🏼)

But my body literally doesn’t let me lose an ounce until I wean completely, which is at least a year. Sometimes that gets me down and honestly I’m not looking forward to that this time. @adrielw93443 жыл бұрын
I did not try that particular method, but it appears to be very well thought out and effective! I relied on cervical mucus checks and counting the days in my cycle… not that any of that was wrong or bad, I literally got pregnant at the opposite time in my cycle than when I should have. It was very odd. But, I was under a lot of stress at that point and maybe it messed with my cycles more than I could tell without using more in depth methods… also, we went a good two years using NFP and I could have gotten a little complacent about monitoring things too. Oh well! I got my beautiful boy, Silas! I’m not upset in the least.

@glowbodypt Жыл бұрын
Congratulations on nearly 3rd trimester in your healthy pregnancy Zarah! It's Ashley. What you heard about exercise causing prolapse is valid if the woman starts exercise TOO early postpartum. It's all because of intra-abdominal pressure and the body being unequipped to clench, tense, draw in and up, relax or lengthen the way the pelvic floor typically does in the early weeks postpartum. Watch the WATCH FIRST video as soon as you buy the 12 Week Post Pregnancy Plan (most women get it in 3rd trimester so they can start using the Mom Cookbook immediately and be prepared for once baby arrives! - Mother's day sale is over May 12-14th too - mark your calendar because I only host 3 sales in the entire year). The WATCH FIRST video is right at the beginning of the 12 Week Post Pregnancy Plan so you know EXACTLY what to do to maximize your postpartum recovery in those early weeks before you get the all-clear to resume exercise (6 weeks pp from a vaginal delivery; 8-9 weeks pp from a c-section). I will be coaching you through everything so you'll know exactly what to do, how to breath, where to contract, and we will heal your postpartum abs and your pelvic floor so you can feel confident and fit again as a mother. www.glowbodypt.com/12-week-post-pregnancy-plan-2

Do you have any videos where you talk about your life as a military spouse? How you and your husband made the decision for your family. The up's and down's of family separation, how you parent your kids when you're by yourself, how you rely on God in those situations. My husband and I are talking about going into the military. We have one daughter now, and would continue having children for the next several years. Would love to hear your thoughts! obviously you are thriving and have learned so much through many years of your husband (and yourself) being active duty. thanks!

No I don't have any videos on this - I guess I keep a good part of my life pretty personal (church, relationship w/ Luke, my kids' privacy/their rooms) and really try to stay on women's fitness/motherhood/female hormones and nutrition. The military is quite difficult but there are SO many different jobs and your husband would probably have a different job than my husband has, so no person's experience will be the same. We have been through 9 deployments and been married 12 yrs, it's a lot.

@glowbodypt3 жыл бұрын
I pump in the morning as soon as I can after Laurel's first morning feed. This provides structure to ensure I do it every day at around the same hour, I can clean dishes or make breakfast while I pump, and it's easier to get more volume of milk in the morning since your body has rested most of the night, focusing energy on recovery and milk production. If this doesn't work for your schedule, instead find a CONSISTENT time you can stick to and do it after you nurse, not before. : )

@@glowbodypt awesome, thanks! Do you have a special pump? I loved seeing you be able to move around with it! Way better than having to sit still for 20 min.

Yasss. I love fertility Friday. So fascinating. I use the Marquette method of FAM. I love it. It makes the postpartum cycles a lot easier. I used the creighton method before using Marquette. Postpartum was just too hard to use a mucus based method for me which is why I switched. Definitely look into Marquette.

Thank you for letting me know this-- I just looked up Marquette and surface layer it seems too good to be true with clear monitoring of LH hormone and estrogen hormone so there's no guessing about cervical position or vaginal mucus symptoms. Tell me- is there a downside to Marquette besides buying the monitor & the strips to pee on every morning? Is it a longer abstinence window compared to Creighton method?
@castellum1233 жыл бұрын
@@glowbodypt I also use Marquette and love it. I am currently 7 months postpartum. I usually don't cycle until 12 months. While breastfeeding, there are two different protocols you can follow. One is cheaper, but more intimately restricting. The other requires more testing, but allows for more more time with your spouse. We are practicing the latter, and it has been great! 😁 I've also done Creighton for many years. In my opinion, Marquette is better in all ways, except price. I'm a super penny pincher, so I've held off starting Marquette. But, now pregnancy is no longer a viable option for me, so the price is totally worth it.
@samantharoseman42063 жыл бұрын
@@glowbodypt The downside is predominantly the price. If you don't start your cycle for a while, the amount of sticks you need to buy is a lot. You'd want to follow the 10 day breastfeeding protocol, which has you using a test stick almost every single day until you catch your first Peak (lh). You need to find an instructor to teach you this; please don't try to self teach. To answer your second question, for me, it's less abstinence. That is because I have almost constant fertile mucus postpartum, so Creighton was hard. Marquette had so many more 'usable' days. Hope this helps!

Ashley you absolutely have to look into the Marquette Method for Natural Family Planning! It uses the clear blue fertility monitor to track you’re ovulation so you know which days you are fertile or otherwise! I highly recommend. It has worked perfectly for me and many others I know!

Girl the Marquette Method is looking pretty freaking awesome for the postpartum season to be PRECISE on determining hormone levels verses me questioning or doubting myself on vaginal mucus being regular discharge or fertile quality-- thank you for bringing this up and I'll continue to do more research. Any downsides you've found so far besides buying the clear blue fertility monitor, the strips to pee on every morning and remembering to do it?
@monicamary52813 жыл бұрын
@@glowbodypt it’s seriously the best!! It takes the guess work out of the picture completely - which I love because as a busy mama you only have so much extra brain power to give in a day! Downside - the price of the monitor and fertility sticks. But honestly; that’s it! Also, once you’ve been testing for a certain amount of time, (I think it’s about 6 months after the breast feeding cycle) the monitor begins to remember you’re fertile and not fertile days so you don’t actually have to test every day! I highly recommend getting a Marquette coach to help you through the process!

Totally agree! Marquette Method is the best postpartum natural family planning method. It's so exact and simple even when breastfeeding.

The sticks are expensive but if you get an instructor, they can show you how to use lh strips to save a little extra. We LOVE the Marquette method because it saves our marriage and helped me under my body postpartum. Do it! You’ll love it!

Do you have family that helps? I know you have shared often about your husband was in the field or deployed etc. Fellow military spouse here. I don’t understand how to have time for any kind of hobby etc. while being a mom. Our duty station is not active w USO, MWR, childcare is always full. It’s been very, very hard to make friends etc. I don’t know how to keep my toddler happy while I try and do anything that isn’t playtime.

Yay for fertility awareness! In my 10 years of marriage it has been the only thing we’ve done. We currently use a method called Marquette. You need to get an instructor (mine was from Vitae Fertility) and they teach you an algorithm you can use alongside the Clearblue monitor. The algorithm with the monitor is over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. What I love about this method is it’s very objective: I just pee on a stick and then follow the algorithm. I don’t have to take my temperature or check cervical mucus at all, which is especially helpful if you are like me and get continuous mucus while breastfeeding.

Hey Ashley, I wanted to say something about the podcasts you recommended. Firstly, just a thank you for sharing them, some seem very worth a listen. Second, I have dabbled outside of Christianity in a wayward daughter kind of way enough to learn some things other Christians may not know. I saw RD Real Talk has a couple of titles referencing the enneagram. I wanted to warn you and anyone of Christ's followers who might read this. The enneagram test was formed by automatic writing which is contacting "spirit" aka demons. This is an occult practice and the enneagram itself does not reflect scripture in any way. I know this is a lot to put out there, but I would hate for any believer to fall into one of Satan's traps the way I did! Sending prayers and love in our glorious saviors name! Please let me know if you have any questions. There are several articles out there explaining this topic further.

Hey Bronwynn, Yeah I don't do enneagrams either. Thanks. : ) I listen to Allie Beth Stucky Relatable literally every week. Haven't listened to RD Real talk in about a year.

I appreciate your content and enjoy your videos but I have to say as a non-Christian the phrase "strong Christian women" there's an othering for non-Christians that is so uncomfortable. I just don't see what religion has to do with this at least as far as spreading your word. Your religion may motivate you but by saying it as you did it is exclusionary and there is an implicit bias that I do not believe you mean to portray. Just putting that out there as I hope you will take this as a loving remark and an opportunity promote inclusivity for all mommas.
