Glutamine is super underrated in my opinion and I think that because of my experiences from using it over the years especially when I was very actively powerlifting. Your body does in fact make glutamine on its own, you most likely get some glutamine from your regular diet, and most protein post-workout formulas have glutamine in them. The way I love to use a glutamine supplement though requires a much higher dosage of it than what 99% of people are getting!
Glutamine is directly involved in protein synthesis which is an essential process for muscle repair and growth. Did you know that when you get injured or have some type of prolonged stress that your glutamine levels most likely will naturally lower? It is in those specific scenarios when I’ve seen the real superpower of a glutamine supplement.
Any time I get a minor injury, tweak or strain a muscle, I’m taking glutamine to expedite the recovery process. Any time I’m incredibly extra sore for whatever reason, I’m taking glutamine to expedite the recovery process. And it works every single time. Glutamine is the amino acid that actually helps the muscular cells recover and I’m a major fan by result!
I take 10-20 grams of glutamine depending on my soreness level and it’s been like a miracle supplement for me. I’m not going to get into any science based debates regarding this as I’m speaking by pure outcomes from my own personal experiences. I don’t take extra glutamine daily either. I take it specifically for those special scenarios requiring supercharged recovery so I can get back at it as fast as possible. I hope it works as well for you Aliens as it does for me so we can stay strong to keep putting in that work and getting more gains out of this world together! No limits 🛸
