Coolants leaks and vacuum leaks are common other than that great engine

Generally a good engine, if maintained with proper gasoline and oil. Avoid engine mods/tunes unless you change the pistons to forged.

Good engines ! Its just all the little things to save .02% better fuel economy like all other manufactures ! And thats not an open deck cyl cooling block !

Blown 2 oxygen sensors and have only 16,000mi. Maybe because I don't drive it often and the sensor doesn't get time to heat up but still that's an issue that shouldn't be happening. I have a rough idle and it misfires before the sensor goes but that's it. Beyond that, the engine runs beautiful. No loss of oil, coolant. No noise under the hood.👍

2014-2018 regal 2.0 turbo have a tsb for cracking piston (s)...Buddy at work had a misfire #3 we checked compression and it only had 30 psi versus 120psi #4 ..Good chance its a cracked piston.

​@@joeshmoe8952 Before I did a compression test I asked my boss that worked for gm (20years) if that engine is know for anything ( coils, vaccum leaks etc) and the first thing he said was cracked pistons.

Anytime a major automobile company puts plastic coolant lines and elbows in from the factory that tells me they don't want to build reliable products. GM, Ford and Chrysler used to build great reliable quality products back in the 60s and 70s and some of the 80s but not anymore. Boo big 3
