Um, at 12:41 Baldwin said “ I let go of the hammer and the gun went off, I did not pull the trigger!” That tells us that if he didn’t cock the gun (all the way back) in a locking position, and he let go of the hammer before it locked...then that alone was enough to hit the firing cap and fire that gun! Personally, I believe the armorer had full responsibility of what went into that gun, whom she passed it off to (David), who then passed it off to Alec Baldwin. I’m just wondering if they can get fingerprints off the shell casing to see who all handled that live bullet! Bottom line is someone was killed and someone was injured and someone is responsible. Either way, it was murder or involuntary manslaughter. Time and forensics will tell!
@WOTArtyNoobs2 жыл бұрын
1. The video now shows that on TWO previous occasions he did have his finger on the trigger and that would infer that he did have it on the trigger when he cocked the hammer. 2. The single action Colt should lock the hammer if it was pulled back as Baldwin said. The only way that the hammer would fall all the way was if his finger was on the trigger. 3. If the hammer had not been pulled all the way back and he let go of it without his finger on the trigger, the fall would not have been enough to fire the pistol. 4. Hannah said that she checked the rounds for the 'ring' of the ball bearings. 5. Hannah had to clean the chamber on the sixth round because the guns kept getting dirt on them. That sixth round was probably the live one and it came from the new box of dummies. 6. The round that killed Halyna was a live round and had two indelible pen marks on the case - exactly where the drill holes should be. A live round that had not be processed into a dummy. 7. Hannah said (in interview) that some of the dummies had (percussion) caps at the end even though they would not work. So you would not be able to tell which were live or dummies solely from the caps. 8. Hannah said in the interview that no live rounds were allowed on set. 9. The set owners stipulated in their rules that no live rounds were allowed on the set. 10. There was a rumor (not authenticated or attributed) that there was 'plinking' on set. Hannah was not aware of this. It could be that the 'Plinkers' were the source of the live rounds and that they left them on the set, or failed to remove them from the gun after using it for shooting beer cans. 11. The only target practice that Hannah arranged was at an off-site range. 12. Hannah was the last one to handle the round before the Police took possession of the gun and rounds. She asked for the gun after the incident and someone handed it to her. She checked the chambers. 13. Sarah Zachry checked the new box of dummies and said that there were live rounds in there too. 14. There were EIGHT live rounds on the set. Two in the notches on Baldwin's holster. The one in the gun that killed Halyna and more in the new box of dummies. Bottom Line - Hannah Reed, Dave Halls and Alec Baldwin should all be indited for involuntary manslaughter for the negligence. Additionally, from Baldwin's interview you can prove culpable Recklessness leading to manslaughter which means that he should be indited for Murder 2 - being the person who knew the risk but pulled the trigger regardless. There was no intent. Baldwin's reaction shows that he was clearly shocked at being told that Halyna died. However, his Negligence and Recklessness are enough to convict on Murder 2.

The reason the gun went off when he let go of the hammer is because he pulled the trigger first and yes that was an accident he probably didn't realize he did it but when he pulled the gun out he pulled the trigger that's why it went off when he let the hammer go we all know those two things must happen in order for it to shoot and it was proven that there was nothing wrong with the gun so it didn't just go off he made those two things happened he pulled the trigger and then he let the hammer go

If you pick up a gun, point it at someone, and pull the trigger, YOU and NO one else are responsible by any deaths caused, period. You can't put that responsibility off on someone else. If you can't handle the gun safety then YOU chose to shoot the person by not taking 5 minutes to get proper safety training and learn not to point loaded guns at people and pull the trigger. It is YOUR legal obligation to not TOUCH the weapon if you can't safely handle it (a 7 year old could handle it safely with 5 minutes of training). If you had the training, then that's flat out murder because you KNEW you could kill someone when you CHOSE to pull the trigger. The safety people are just there to help you, not take the fall when you murder someone. This isn't some complicated machine that no one can figure out how to handle safely. And if it were, then it would still be the responsibility of the operator to get the proper training. In Baldwin's case he was even more responsible as the producer of the movie who kept the armorer from doing her job by assigning her other duties on set that took her away from watching over safety because he wanted to make a cheap movie. AND he chose to operate the gun without her presence. AND he chose to receive the gun or allow someone to receive the gun from someone's hands OTHER than the armorer. Baldwin is guilty on SO many levels here.

@Jeff Devries "Never point a weapon at anyone" So John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Keanu Reeves, Gary Cooper, Gregory Peck and everyone else whose ever been in a movie having a shootout was wrong? None of you gun experts gets it, on a Hollywood set there's an entirely different set of rules because pointing guns at people is their business. Walk onto a movie set as an actor and take a gun an armorer gave to you and start opening loading gates and spinning cylinders or dropping mags and doing function checks and everyone around can watch you get your ass ripped off by the armorer. Not long ago I watched an interview with a Hollywood armorer and he said the biggest pain in his ass is when some actor comes walking on a set doing those things, he's had to chew out more than one of them and explain to them that they're not on a shooting range and the weapon in their hand is his not theirs, they're not to do ANYTHING unless instructed to do it, don't check to see if it's loaded, don't do function checks, don't drop mags, don't do ANYTHING unless you're told to do it. I'd want my money back if I went to a theater and saw a western that had a shootout where everyone was facing away from each other, that'd be the lamest shootout EVER.

Obviously, that was not the case here. My condolences to the victims and their families.

Ikr it's absurd. They shld be charged with tampering with evidence too. They admit the gun used was taken out of that building/ away from the crime scene following this tragedy. Then, Hannah admitted she took the rounds out to assess them. This was an attempt at CYA ..no doubt, prior to 5-0 arriving. Later, when the officer asked where the discharged weapon was , it takes them a while to figure out who has it & where its located. Also, this young lady admits to not rechecking the weapon via rounds since 1130am.. before lunch & hrs before that scene. She said anyone had access to her cart where rounds were. Guns were locked up in a safe but rounds were in the truck, atop the cart & scattered all over the place.. including a mixed assortment of rounds in her pockets during her interview. What kind of police dept allows someone to walk through the entrance with ammo (of any kind) in their pockets. To add, it was reported that Hannah was associated with ppl planking on set. They used live rounds to aim at cans, etc. She even stated that they use 22s if they are using live rounds in her 1st interview 🤷♀️ Even if..& it's a big If. .. ..someone wanted to sabotage, after hearing how irresponsible she is & how anyone had access to her cart.. her negligence regarding safety especially, wld allow anyone to switch a round out w/o any probs. She is culpable but Alec & at least 2 others are also. My kids know gun safety & they wld be more competent in the armorer position.

Police investigation failed from the get go. Sarah threw away rounds from the gun after Alec B fired one from the chamber. It wasnt even mentioned to police until well after the trash was gone. Police should've immediately got the gun and all rounds that were in there, but they didnt even look for evidence for about a week after the fact. The sheer incompetance of the Prop girl who also had an accidental discharge on set tells a story by itself. the two women, Hannah and Sarah couldn't stand each other as each had competing responsibilities between Props and Armorer. That was ultimately on Alec Baldwin due to lack of money (aka cheapness) to pay for full- time Armorer and separate asst for Props. So much blame all around and yet trying to peg it all on the Armorer is wrong. The cartridges, dummy rounds and blanks were known to be supplied by Seth Kinney and yet he denies giving any Live rounds. I think he's who they should be investigating.

I watched the whole trial. I am a gun expert and I agree with you. He knew which projectiles the live rounds had (in Starline brass cases), that came back from the 1883 film set - Strange that of the THREE types of projectile that those 1883 set live rounds had, none of the rounds found were round-nose bullets (The projectile type that killed HH) at PDQ Props when the warrant was served ONE MONTH Later. Strange that the only live bullet in the cylinder was the next in-line to fire (i.e. from the first shot - Even in Russian Roulette you get a 1 in 6 chance), strange that the pistol fired, even though this .45 pistol cannot do what Alec said it did. Strange, Dave Halls past the pistol to Alec and called it cold. Strange that Sarah threw rounds away that were supposed to be RENTED Dummies. The chances of that being a pure accident are in the millions to one, something does not add up here at all.
