I'd love to do more edits but sadly I feel they're much harder to produce when you don't have the support from bigger budget sponsors, I feel I have to churn out vlog style videos because KZbin literally pays my bills and If I skip weeks to self film an edit (that won't have the production quality of others) I'll be stung financially.

@@JeffMTBinVAI can say it, but then again the Scotch family that lived next door to us in Poughkeepsie was like my 2nd mom and dad. They came from Kirkcaldy. When our real parents were not available, whatever Aunt Betty or Uncle Andy said went. I'm Irish American yet feel more at home celebrating things like Burnsey Day. No interest in haggis tbough, sorry. One of these years I want to spend a month or so bikepacking Scotland in honor of Aunt Bet and Uncle Andy. I have many fond memories.

A little news I heard today GT has let ALL of their sponsered riders go. They are selling off their remaining stock and putting the brand on hold. I feel sorry for Hans, he been riding for them for decades.
@EMTB17Күн бұрын
If the sponsored writers and Hans, being one of them was selling bikes, that wouldn’t be a question of letting them go or not. GT has not evolved as a brand and so many others have popped up and surpassed Anything they’ve ever done. Almost every single industry will self corrected itself in the next few years. The golden timeline has arrived people.

I think a lot of these "big edits" can be spoilt when they are done for advertising and sponsorship purposes as opposed to the rider. For example the stunt line on a moving train video.. Great video, but to me it's all just about promoting Red Bull. The rider who did the tricks wasn't mentioned in the video, it was all "look at this, Red Bull paid for it". Yes I understand that they want a showcase for the brand & it would have cost them £thousands,, but give the rider some credit as it's his neck on the line... Yes I'm sure he got paid well etc but come on, let's not make these videos purely as ads.
@eve-llblyat25763 күн бұрын
No one cares for videos edits. Its the same with every actionsport. Kids or people have to get interested in the culture. For skateboarding, ot was this rebeel street kid culture what made it big. trasher , jack ass style. so most important are the faces who promote bikeculture. Like sam pilgrim. Wibmer is like the peerfect tiktok influencer what kids are into. But mountainbiking isnt like other sports. Its so divers that it becomes many differnt sports. -There are the freeriders. Only go into the woods building gnarly feature and hitting crazy stuff. - dirtjumpers - inly riding the jumpds in the dirtjump park in the city. -enduro riders- always looking for the best singletrails -bikepark rats- only on the bike when there is a lift. - racers - enduro or DH. who go full cpmpedetive. Allways i full race gear, prctising for only the race run - mtb touring - people goging 1000hm and 100 of km on a day, crosscountrystyle. - the older generation - go for a fun time in the woods. -urban mtb - kids in citys where there are no big mountains in the area. Every group ia atracted by somthing different. The onlything everybody loves. Crash videos. Because it shows how hardcore mtb is. How harcore they are. Everybody wants to be hardcore and they want to tell their friends how hardcore they are.
