I think a 36er might a bit much for most of us in terms of fit and weight. However, a 29/32, 29/30.5, or even 30.5/32 mullet might be very good. The thing I like most about a 29+ bike wasn't the 3.0" wide tire, it was 30.5" diameter of those tires.
@mellissanash75172 жыл бұрын
32in bikes & tires do exist. 30.5 does not though.
@marksandoval53612 жыл бұрын
@@mellissanash7517 If a 30.5 x 2.3 tire and wheel did exist, it would have a 30.6 diameter and fit any 29+ frame that currently fits 29x3.0 tires and it would fit many 29er forks which is why I suggested that size.

XC rider here, I think the most optimum advantage of having a wheel is when its diameter (height) is as your leg. I'm an average height, and I'd go for 32" if there were any. 32" XC would be plausible but on mountain you need maneuvrability.

09:06 That is a lot of flex for some easy riding. I'd imagine if you hit a big bump at high speed it would put the tire in contact with the frame and maybe send you flying. That's the problem with bikes for tall riders, the leverage of the long tubes puts incredible forces on things and, in my experience, is never properly compensated for with appropriately thick tubing or extra tubing. I was considering a 36" wheeled touring bicycle but it would probably be a nightmare.
