They keep disturbing Alireza at crucial moments. He blundered right after the Arbiter interrupted the match. Such unprofessional management. This isn't 1960. Why do players still have to note down every single move they play. Its already getting recorded by the system and filmed as well

@ApexPredator21 The shoes were approved by the organizers as appropriate and allowed. Also, the video where you could hear his shoes was significantly amplified. You could even hear the chairs squeaking. It was exaggerated beyond belief; even in this video, you can hear them sliding the chess pieces across the board.

He knows the rules. Blame for intervention by arbiter recast entirely upon Alireza. No intervention would’ve been unfair to his opponent who was spending his own clock to notate as he was supposed to.

Rules are rules, and as long as they are in place and all players are in contract to follow those rules, there's no excuse for violating them. Whether or not the rules are needed or not is another matter altogether, which should've been settled prior to the event!
