I don't understand how Kramnik thinks Hikaru cheats in 3:00 games with no increments, especially when Hikaru is moving super fast and up over a minute on the clock? How would that even work? You'd need a partner matching the game in real time, and the engine needs time to run the evaluation at a high level, and they'd have to tell you fast enough before you made a move... it seems unreasonable. Especially when Hikaru plays moves almost instantly.

Not only are they showing that it's possible, it also means it's 1000 times easier for a GM to cheat in this manner because they don't really need the best move for every move, as they're already really good, they just need a hint in critical moments which would basically close the gap between a regular gm and a super gm and make a super gm unstoppable basically.

I have a Ph.D. in Physics & Mathematics. I'm completely tired of this utter bullshit of people who proclaim themselves mathematicians when they seem to forget the basics of analysis to then come up with objective data. As far as I know, Hikaru has been very intense when it comes to chess and the amount of games that he has played in the past years makes it quite obvious, that there's enough knowledge for him to get this win rate that may appear insanely high to others. Not only does his level outrate most players, but he also more than often plays the same person multiple times in a row - thus making the data that Kramnik is trying desperately to prove nearly irrelevant. Although I am a mathematician and do not want to deep dive into that particularly, Kramnik seems to be on the paranoid spectrum. There's another point that he didn't seem to bring up, and that is the fact that chess is a game that involves no RNG at all - therefore, the difference between a very good player and an extremely good player will appear extreme in some cases. This kind of win rate is very far from being improbable, if the entire context was taken (there is a big list of them, and I am honestly too lazy to do that). I would consider that he has a point only if all the points were taken individually against players because that's where the truth resides. Taking ELO as evidence of a player's skill level shows that Kramnik has not studied Mathematics enough. For good riddance.
