I think d6 does the job: if … Bxb5, the N on b5 causes mayhem at c7. Otherwise, the Be7 is lost. I’m surprised that I can’t find anything better - it looks completely crushing for White…

19:13 - white must plays e6. If black replies with Bxb5, then exf7+ for white. Whether Kxf7 or Kf8, black lost his casting rights. Either of the said moves, white will recapture the light bishop and that is Nxb5. Therefore, 1. e6 , Bxb5 2. exf7+ , Kf8 3. Nxb5 (2) exf7+ , Kxf7 (3) Qe6+ , Kf8 or Ke8 (4) Nxb5 If black recaptures the e6, then... 1. e6 , fxe6 2. Bxd7+ , Qxd7 3. dxe6 , Qc6 4. O-O-O ,
@GMIgorSmirnov

Although e6 looks good, d6 is a much powerful move! Black playing cxd6 would open up the e-file and the game is gone! If Bh4, then g3 wins the game.

QUIZ ANSWER: Pxd6, blacks pawn on Pxc7 will either capture to defend bishop since it is pinned or will accept defeat and will castle or take your bishop on Bxb5 with their bishop on Bxe7. not only that but after capturing bishop you are also threatening queen with Pxd7 If they decide to take your bishop and ignore the threat you can end up capturing both bishops with your Knight
@aaronbarlow4376

7:59 Something you forgot to mention that if white takees the queen after black queen moves g4, Black bishop takes back and then you take the knight, black has Bf3 forking the knight and rook.

At 8:00, doesn’t Qxg4 make more sense since it trades the queens and forces bxg4 then you just capture the knight with Nxe4. Now you’re up a knight and pawn with queens off the board making it essentially impossible for black to come back
@mychessnotebook8653

Well, doesn't f3 win a knight? After Qxg4 Bxg4 Nxe4, look a little further. Black has Bf3, complicating matters. But White does come out a couple pawns ahead after Ng5.

GM Igor, What if black sacrifices it's knight after pawn e5 and just plays bishop c5 right away? After you take on f6 it is Qxf6. Yes you are up a knight and a pawn but have no development, black threatens mate and you have little defensive options other than Q.e2 or to e3 or pawn e3. And after black castles there is a lot of pressure again. White is in front, but it is not a done deal.
@tobias4411
@tobias4411 10 ай бұрын
Worse for black, since after Qxf6, whites best move is Qf3 offering a queen trade. If black accepts White is then +4.1 in engine , and I wouldnt play as black here... Totally hopeless. Even if black refuses queen trade , (Qe7+ then Be2 to block and white still is much better +4.3.

Refutation refuted: After 6.d4, black plays Bc5!? white foolishly accepts the bishop gambit, black trades queens on the open d file, then wins a pawn while forking the king and rook. White can't castle, and has a thorn of a knight on h1 that white can't capture for a couple moves. Works in bullet sometimes. (This is a joke)

On Ne4 d4 Bc5 I have Be3 and on Ng4 d4 Bc5 I have f3 and you have to move your knight and I will win a piece. Although I'm not even fully convinced with your line as I can go Ke1 and after you take my rook I will get quick development, for instance Bd3 Be6 Nd2 0-0-0 Nf3 and my next few moves are Be3 Ke2 Rxh1 I'm up two pieces for a rook everything is nicely protected and I wish you good luck.

White can simply play 7.c3 and has a good position. Even if White takes 7.dxc5 Qxd1+ 8.Kxd1 Nxf2+ 9.Ke1 Nxh1, the evaluation is +1.7 as the knight on h1 is kind of trapped and White holds good.
