🔹 The BEST Chess Opening Against 1.e4 - Every Move is a Trap! - • The BEST Chess Opening...
♛ Find these examples/games in this blog-post - chess-teacher.com/rousseau-ga...
In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you the top 5 fastest checkmate traps in the Rousseau Gambit. The Rousseau Gambit (or Ponziani Countergambit) is a chess opening that begins with the moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 f5.
This gambit opening is very tricky and comes with a lot of deadly traps. It is very easy for White to make fatal mistakes and lose the game in the opening stage.
Even advanced-level players struggle to find the best moves in these variations and fall for the traps, as you can see in one of the examples in this video.

The game is never over the clowns I play will take the knight with their queen 👑 which is bad but avoids mate and then they just shuffle pieces and try to beat the clock

After you play e4 attacking whites knight, the knight doesn’t actually have to move to g1. It can go to d4 where if we take, they play Qh5+ and if we move our king they fork out king and knight and our king isn’t safe, if we play g6 they just play fxg6 if we do nothing then they play gxh7 and we lose our knight (discovered check) if instead we play Ke7 they fork us and we lose a pawn

actually, white can play ND4 immediately as soon as you push your e-pawn. Annoying how this isn't mentioned, as it is the best move for white. After losing the knight, you move your queen and win material.

@ibangonzalezmitxelena3121
@ibangonzalezmitxelena3121 Жыл бұрын
Exactly, Igor. You assume in both videos that “the knight has no squares”, but this move is actually a killer move. If you take as you suggest, then white ends up promoting a new queen after black loses quite an amount of material…(in the main line, I’d say). Just wanted to mention this because the info can be necessary. I love your videos and your help. Thanks a lot!

just as i thought....i knew this opening was too good to be true even Magnus knew it. as a matter of fact i lost terribly when i first used this opening in a club match. I practiced this opening and followed all basic variations thinking i have a surprise weapon. after my opponent accepted the gambit at exf5 I pushed at e4 thinking either his Knight will go back or pin the epawn with his queen....BUT to my horror, he sacrificed his Knight Nd4....and i thought he must have gone mad and lost hope and so i happily took his Knight at Nxd4.....and that's when all went south on me. He moved Qh5+ and together with his pawn at f5 and bishop at c4 made a suffocating attack on my King in Legal's mate style. and then my opponent said "You didn't see the How to Destroy the Rousseau Gambit video"...and i just replied with a stup!d alibi ..." I don't even know what that is"...

What the HE🏒🏒 does it mean "no compensation". I've been playing this gambit nearly every day since your first video on it, and the only drawback is I have some weaknesses in a closed game where the gambit is declined. Basically I improved from 1100 to 1400 once I learned this one, and you always get the pawn back and a huge lead in development.
