REQUEST/SUGGESTION: Please put in what settings were used in the emulators. Specially the up-res factor. That really is what tells how good the chip/gpu is. Is the PS2 games running 2x upres? 4x? Native? Etc... Is Gamecube running 720p? native? upscaled to 4x?5x? And some light testing in that regard to see how good it can go. Ie: "What your seeing now is PPSSPP running god of war at 3x resolution. When we hit around 5x, it start dipping belong 60fps"

Maybe don't want to show any Nintendo emulation since they are going after YT'ers with copyright strikes now. I got the Minis Forum UM690S based on your review and a good deal on Amazon for $350, and although you have to go in through the bottom, the feet have little posts that go into the screw holes, so no adhesive. Currently running Batocera for games, but I also use the PC side as well, which means I have to go into Bios and change a couple setting each time I want to switch between Batocera/Windows. Do you think Launchbox/Big Box would be better to use than Batocera?

I’ve had a lot of luck with the button mapping by installing and using RetroArch. It works really well for me with most game systems, with the occasional remapping (which wasn’t super stressful).

This is so darn frustrating! Every content creator says that the ser8 plays everything. I bought it and I have only played PS1 RPGs so far and the games freeze temporarily after saving and changing screens and when a battle starts. I don't think these guys are liars. So what am I missing? I updated the mini PC. Set it to best performance and maxed it at 60 hertz. So what is this guy doing and others out there that I am not doing? Please I beg of someone to tell me the answer, thanks

Hey man, I wonder if you have something off with your emulator. Have you tried other games and emulators? The ser8 should not need anything done to it to run games. You may have an issue with your emulator or settings in the emulator. You could of course have a faulty unit but I've never seen this.

@@OfficialChaseBrogan I am playing with the original hyper spin external hard drive 12tb. If there isn't anything to change on the PC to make it perform better other than the high performance and max hertz then it can only be the hyper spin. I got this ser8 because I didn't want to fiddle with anything. I don't know how to change emulators for PS1. I see chore options and it shows the emulator being used. And I see there are others to choose but I don't know which one. And I am always afraid I will brake something. PS2 and PSP works pretty well. I just haven't checked out enough to know how everything works. I just can't understand why such a low end system like PS1 is freezing during screen change and after saving and continuing and a start of a battle. I know you have tested the ser8 and the hyper spin. Did you have to change emulators and stuff? Did you have to change anything besides emulators? Thanks for your response so far

@@OfficialChaseBrogan I just got the PC 2 days ago and when I start a game a message comes about amd radian plus R? I did what it said and it took me to a site to update driver and I did it and there was no more updates. Since then it doesn't do it on every game I start but still does it sometimes. And this morning of the second day I went to turn on the PC and nothing happened. I unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in and it started right up.

The ser8 is a powerhouse and unlikely to be the cause of your issue. It could be latency from accessing a jam-packed spinning mechanical hard drive over usb (make sure it's not plugged into a usb 2.0 port), or it could be possible that the game itself always did that while loading. I remember hating ff6 on ps1 because of the ridiculous amount of loading and how slow it was.
