That is ridiculous people giving you a hard time about building engines. YOu did an excellent job, and Danny did such a great job walking you through it. I forget what problem you had with the first one, but you are both human, and it was your first build. So awesome seeing you run 12's with it now on an engine you built!!!!! Keep building them, and never mind the naysayers, you are not pizza, you cannot please everyone!!!!! Greetings from Ontario!

I just love how so many complainers and knitpickers try to tell these honest good, hardworking people how to do things. But when you look at those peoples' alleged KZbin channel, they have 0 Content, 0 subscribers, they have Nothing to contribute to any of this other than their alleged Professional opinion, which is obviously not very professional If they're not trying to help others in more ways than just criticism.

Olivia! You have my permission to be out in the garage! You want to learn and you are learning. I appreciate the fact that you want to be learning stuff out in the shop. Danmny is a good teacher. Learn from him, and enjoy yourself out in the garage!!

Olivia, I think it's so cool that you enjoy learning how to build engines, & being involved working in the garage alongside Danny. I wish my gf was more into this also. You have the right attitude to learn too, keep at it, you get better by turning wrenches and learning from your mistakes. If you really have a passion for it, you'll find it even more interesting each time you learn something new. When you guys first introduced this Charger project all I could think was pass on this, although now I see it coming together and really looking forward to seeing this build to the end. Good job guys!

I've always called that stuff "Poor 15", like "For". I've used gallons of it, living in Central New Jersey, the excavating company I used to work for would plow snow and de-ice with rock salt in the winter. Most of the trucks with salt spreaders ended having the frames painted with POR 15 in the fall prior to snow season.

Not even 6 mins in and you guys have me smiling and laughing, love it, especially the 3000 lb hood 😂. The struggle is real when someone is making you laugh while trying to hold onto something heavy 😂. Big Wave is a boat, but she is awesome! I would have thought they would have been close to the same length. Those are some nice parts for the Charger, thanks for sharing, can't wait to see it all assembled and running! 🍻

Lots of eye candy!! Those heads are so sweet. I think it's wise to use Trickflows' total pkg. Let them do the R&R, and run with it. Metal work is looking good, nice to see you using a rust encapsulator on the inside. I find myself smiling as I watch you guys open those boxes like Christmas!! I'm a Chevy guy, but '68 Chargers are easily my Mopar fav. Keep on it, watching 2 people do it themselves makes it that much better!!

I remember when Holley made power packages in the early 90's and their intake and heads did absolutely bupkis so they had to rely on the cam guy to meet the hp numbers that marketing had already advertised.

You should have bolted a board across the the wall and screwed it into the studs in order to prevent the garage door from stripping the bolts out of the plywood, and shortened the bolts a little bit in order for the threads to bite all of the way in and not have a smooth shoulder that doesn't bite into anything. Just my suggestion for a permanent repair of the door spring.
@BillyJoeJimBob286 ай бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. Screw & glue a piece of 2x6 on the wall to bolt the spring bkt to. Course it would need a 1.5" thinner bkt. Edit: maybe the pros just moved the spring bracket over so the bolts went into a stud. 🤯
@kimdearrington2586 ай бұрын
@@BillyJoeJimBob28 I want to thank you for responding to my comment, and agreeing with me. I thought the exact same thing about the bracket needing to be shorter, or further away from the wall so that they could install a 2×6 across the width of the door, glued and screwed. I am pretty certain that this will do this again. Had they built the wall with an actual 2×12 header over the door then this would have never happened in the first place and they could have bolted the spring directly to the plywood because behind it would have been a multiple plated header over the door that was glued and screwed together with plywood between the boards in order to build a proper header.

POR-15 is awesome stuff, you can even use it as a kind of resin with fiberglass when making small repairs where welding might set fire to things. It hardens like a rock and stays put - just wipe everything down with acetone before painting. I recently used it as a base coat for my 350Z differential that I modified to fit my 240SX.

Really good factory heads is a bit of a misnomer. They are great for low and midrange torque, but not for high rpm HP. Mopar had the Hemi for that so the 906 was pretty much the best non-Max head.

I thought this gal had a different named channel before, this is new to me. I haven't been on you tube for awhile. Trying to remember even what it was called I think she used her name in the title. Who ever said she needs to stay in the kitchen is crazy. She does excellent for a female wanting to be in this field, even if its just her hobby, and wants to learn, and get involved, I love the enthusiasm. Wished my ex had been more involved with my excitement about cars, it would of been so much better for our relationship. She acted like she was enthused about it early on, but once we were married that was all over.

What year charger is that really? You have a 69 grill, the 68 isn't a split grill. You have a 69 passenger fender (the rectangle marker light), the 68 chargers are the only ones will circle tail, brake and marker lights out of the 68, 69, and 70 chargers. The drivers side in this video is showing a circle marker light.
