Great job getting it to turn over on first crank then running...The run stand you have is a must-have for new engine builds, glad we all got to see it in action.

I run the same 850 Annular booster double pumper and Trickflow intake on my 505ci Big Block Mopar stroker. I'd swap that cracked bowl and get that Annular carb dialed in. It is a FANTASTIC street carb. Those carbs atomize fuel very well and help torque production down low espically with a single plane intake. Engine sounds great btw.. Nice work ! 🍻

Good job on getting the engine fired. Before final install in the Charger, you may want to think about replacing the bolts on the exhaust headers and carb mounts with studs so you don’t end up pulling the aluminum threads out of the aluminum.

Congratulations on the first fire up, the motor sounds awesome , and I'm sure it sounds better in person. Also I have seen were people swap sides with the headers so they would face away from you, not sure if you can do that with yours, but anyways, great job!👍😀

Nice stand, but I'd suggest swapping the exhausts over so they exit away from the operator - a/ it will reduce the noise level, b/ it keeps the hot exhaust manifolds and c/ hot exhaust gases away from the operators legs If a Mk 2.0 version is made, if the engine is reversed, and a radiator, with draw through fan, is fitted below the test panel, it would allow longer running at higher rpm, for things like bedding in flat-top lifters? Also, some engine dyno's are set up so engines can be fitted into a cradle and quickly slid into, out of, the brake' - if the dyno' you're looking at using is set up like that, have a word to the owner/operator if they will give the details like crank' centreline height, clearances, etc, that will allow one's own stand to be a straight fit.

Hi, When I rebuild Holleys I always bench test with a small electric fuel pump, and set the float levels check for leaks, Btw Danny, you cracked the bowls on that first carby with the wrench, there isn't much movement with the wrench then it contacts the bowl and ...
@richardsmith-qy6vl3 ай бұрын
Yes replace the header bolts with studs thats what i have on my afr heads on my big block not only will it keep from pulling your threads out of the head but also you get more clamping force on your header flange no leaks.that is the only thing i dont like about aluminum heads i think they all should have Healey coils in them.

Couldn't you ave mounted it the other way around? So the Bell housing brace was at the other end and put the smaller brace at the controls end and have the engine facing the other way?? Then you could have run the exhaust out the door if you wanted even.

Camshaft Break in is 2,500 RPM for 10 min's it's gonna be LOUD for 10 min's. Get some straight pipe and 2 muffler's although you are in a commercial zoned area. It'a also going to blow alot of dust up maybe put a stack of pallet's behind exhaust to muffle it up a bit. And will be Hot to stand to look at gauge's
