I have this since 2014 and have no doctor careing for me and have lost over 150 lbs from stoping all the meds they had me on and I have to keep my vp shunt card that has failed back in 2016 and have been told it needs to be replace but due to what makes the world go round 7k$ just to have the shunt replaced back in 2016 so I still have that shunt with family keep watch so when I have my episodes of forgetfulness and get lost and cant remember things. are the magnets that stores use for security devices on the shelfs at head level?? and earphones/buds should these be avoided?

Can this be assessed without contrast MRI in patients with CKD?

The change in shape of the brain in NPH is the result of the enlarging ventricles interacting with the anatomy of the skull and dura. The corpus collosum gets pressed up against the inferior margin of the falx bending it. First in the back where the CC and and falx are in close relation. And later toward the front because the CC and falx diverge as you from back to front. And if the CC bends the cortex on either side of it have to move with it crowding the CSF space at the vertex. Being anatomical process these changes in morphology have variability resulting in the inherent variability of anatomy between individuals. And this likely accounts for some variability of symptoms. There really isn't such a thing a NPH with a narrowed angle without DESH or DESH NPH with out a narrowed angle. You can't bend the CC without enlarging the sylvian fissure and causing crowding at top. Its anatomically impossible.

How long did it take you to write this from the Internet? Or did you just copy and paste?)))

are you a charlatan or a neurosurgeon?)) The Sylvian fissure is far from the corpus callosum. So the acute callosal angle will be without DESH.and NPH with DESH and without acute angle of the corpus callosum is also possible. And what variability of symptoms are you talking about? There are only 3 of them. The most common is one - gait disturbances. By the way, the angle of the corpus callosum is measured at the level of the posterior commissure, where changes in the falx cerebri due to the corpus callosum would be visible. But there are none. So, your opinion that the corpus callosum abuts the hard shell is devoid of evidence.

plus. We must not forget that with NPH, atrophy will most likely be present to some extent. So, there is no need to blame the corpus callosum for everything. This is silly.)))

@@taxidermy_12 Its not far. But it wouldn't be useful to argue about that. The corpus collosum can not bend in isolation. The corpus collosum bending implies that the structures it is contiguous with it on each side also move. Its an upward and medial rotation with the angle of the corpus collosum as its axis. The corpus collosum is above the sylvian fissure...... so the fissure is widened.

also what sucks the most is the forgetfulness and it is sever i can forget what I am doing and walk away from it...I almost burned the house down again this time making hot dogs walked away from it and the smoke that filled the house needless to say family has made it I am not allowed to leave room when using stove
