I grew up there. We are family. He's a great guy, and he's been doing this since we were little kids. Jim is awesome and I try to see him every time I go to town to visit my mom and brothers. Was just there over the 4th of July. That studio is the building where my dad cut meat and my mom was a cashier in the 60's! So much love and respect for what Jim does for that town and for the fans. He's so meticulous and precise and nothing is ever "good enough". If you go, your expectations will be surpassed in every way. His staff is passionate, the studio is incredible, and the town is a gem.

I have at least one visit to Ticonderoga on my sort of bucket list.! I just wanted to mention that James is not only a blessing to the Trek community, but his ELVIS performances really touched my Mom.. who is now 92. I took her to see James live Elvis concerts at Casino Rama in Canada and his showmanship is just off the charts. My Mom actually saw the real Elvis once in her life and she just loved James performances as they really take her back in time. I think the first Elvis show I saw of his was in 2015 or so? at Rama. We saw him perform 5 times between 2015 and 2019, but Mom stopped going to the Casino when COVID hit and has never been back since. I am really thankful for both his luv of Star Trek and his passion for ELVIS and the really authentic style shows he would put on. For me, it was like actually getting to experience Elvis even though the "real" one passed when I was a kid. Anyway, enough of my ramble. Your Family is a treasure to that part of New York, State.... and now well beyond! Live Long and Prosper! 😊

I visited this set in Ticonderoga NY. It is amazing! It's hard to explain how it feels to be aboard the Enterprise!

The tour of the ship leaves you in awe. It is amazing. I drove 4.5 hours to see it and was not disappointed. I hear they are adding another set , so I may return.

I met James and his team at the 50th anniversary convention in NYC, and they are all just amazing people. I hope to make it up to the set tour soon, it's a mecca for TOS. Great video about great people doing great things- thank you.

Amazing work! Looks just like the Enterprise! 4:08 Gene Roddenberry was an awesome creator and visionary. No racism nor prejudice in his mind, he just made good shows based off what _he_ thought the future would be like. At a Star Trek press conference a reporter asked him about casting Patrick Stewart as Picard saying "Surely by the 24th century, they would have found a cure for male pattern baldness." Gene replied "No, by the 24th century, no one will care." lol

I use to think my parents knew Mr Roddenberry because they were teaching me what he was saying every week... And that was before the first Trek show had been on.. My father enjoyed watching it when he did not have to work the night it was on... Telling us to remember what we saw because one day we would have it for real..

A pro modelmaker in the UK has undertaken a project to build an *entire* 1/4 scale model of the entire ship as it would appear from the outside. Roughly 2/3 the size of a football field.

As a teen, I drove up to Lake George with a friend in the late 60's. It was a fun place. If I had a need to go back there I would visit his creation, but I won't go back to NY until they respect the 2nd Amendment. If Essex County (Ticonderoga) declares itself a 2nd Amendment sanctuary county then I would travel across the USA to go there. Parts of NY are too dangerous to not have self protection.

Totally true what he said. Star trek showed an advanced civilization where people were just people. Nobody cared about your skin color or nationality. Humans advancing humanity togheter. And for a while it seems we were walking in that direction. But nowadays we are back to the racist society of the sixties. And it's all done by the self proclaimed "antiracists". So terribly sad.
