I am totally gobsmacked by what you have done. I have just discovered your work today. My wife and I have been Star Trek fans since we saw the first episode when it originally aired, I've seen many fan films and satire shows, but the attention to detail that you've done is stunning. Today is April 5, 2017, and you transported us back to 1966 when we were 20 years old, and just recently married. In 8 days we will celebrate our 51st anniversary Thank you for this amazing gift. And now that Star Trek Continues is no more, I am really wondering what they are going to do with all of these wonderful sets! They should go on tour, or be installed in a museum or - in a perfect world - *be used in further STC episodes!* (Come on, CBS/Paramount, you can still have your _Star Trek Discovery_ if this is going on! No continuity or timeline problems whatsoever!)

The entire cast and volunteers are so dedicated. Many times when we watch each episode, we forget just how much time, money, and dedication goes into presenting the high quality videos. I am sure that countless man hours goes into each one. Although I would love to see a TV network pickup this series. I also realize once that happens, you lose your independence to take the series where you want. In closing, thank you for all your efforts. I know that your fans greatly appreciate it.

EVER SO COOL-! As a lonely kid, I used to study and drool over any and all of the original sets from the time Star Trek first came out in 1966. Now seeing these most expertly recreated -- or rather, perfectly cloned sets for STAR TREK CONTINUES ... well -- This tour was like being a kid in a candy factory ... AND ... THEN ... winning the Trek Lottery and getting the keys to Stage 9 at Paramount way back in the day ... and being able to wander the sets for as long as I wanted -- And now, thanks to the MAKERS of STAR TREK CONTINUES and the forever access of this video on the internet -- -- I can now see it all, up close & personal -- The corridors -- Engineering and glories of all glories ... be on The Bridge of the grand lady herself ... ... The U.S.S. ENTERPRISE. So ... BRAVO-! to Vic & all concerned who had the idea, the promise & the prayer to make STAR TREK CONTINUES become a reality. You made not only my day, my week and my month and upwards to the years from 1966 to 2016 to the forevers ... ... but you folks do it for the river of humanity of this fragile planet ... making the dream that is Star Trek ... Continue. BRAVO TWICE-!! D.A.

I was about to say the same thing: Attention to detail is just amazing. I like and really appreciate the fact that they don't try to "modernize" the show but to carry on what got started in the mid 60s. This series would not look out of place playing on NBC in the late 60s, early 70s...and that is a HUGE compliment! JW3HH

this was truly a labor of love and pride, you can see it in the faces of Vic and crew every time they get a gasp from everyone in the tour. They all did an amazing job honestly the best TOS fan production on KZbin, it was underhanded greed on the part of CBS to shut stuff like this down... I think Gene would have been flattered by the workmanship and commitment of the fans to do stuff like this.

CBS shut it down???
@andrewsokol27172 жыл бұрын
@@j.a.stafford1617 Not formally, but CBS came out with written guidelines for fan productions that were very restrictive, and did not allow for the type of ongoing, full-length episodes that Star Trek Continues was producing. As a result, Star Trek Continues decided to wrap up their series to not get in trouble. Though they have said previously they had always planned ending the series at some point. I think that end date may have moved up a bit because of CBS. They produced 11 fantastic episodes, though, which are a real treasure.

I'd love to be able to travel from downunder to see this for real. The problem is that I know, full well, that I would collapse into tears if wandered through these sets. I can't explain why...I suppose it's because Star Trek holds such a dear place in my heart, me having first seen the show (when it was brand new) as a kid of six years of age. There are copious amounts of praise here (well deserved, for sure) for the guys and gals who built these new sets, their attention to detail, etc... but for me my praise goes to the whole crew and Vic for keeping the dream alive. Gene would have been honoured had he lived to see this. And the quality of the episodes has been nothing short of brilliant. All I can say is that you have managed to warm an old man's heart and for this, Vic, I truly thank you. One day I will visit the US again and I will make a beeline to the production unit. I just hope that CBS doesn't spit the dummy and try to shut these guys down. It would be like a communist government trying to close the Sistine Chapel forever. For me the reverence is that great. Well done you guys. Live long and prosper!

Their Sets were really well done and detailed, too and laid out like to original sets were! Those sets are amazing, too! They picked up on different sets details. They set up lighting that was suitable enough to more easily photograph these sets. The New Voyages staff are still completing their engineering room! They are even building emergency manual monitor in the engineering set up in the air. Just like they did in the original series. Their Jeffries Tube/Circuit Bay tube is not completed yet, either, at the time of November 2016. And the last set their staff is building is auxiliary control and they have scheduled that to be finished by next spring, early summer. I will be going back with my best friend to see those sets finally complete!

There are actually TWO of these Star Trek sets. The one in Ticonderoga is the "official" one that's endorsed by CBS, and you can buy tickets to tour it. That's the one Shatner will be at. The set that I visited and took the video of, is the working set used to produce "Star Trek Continues." These STC sets are near Jacksonville and are NOT open to the public, but I believe they can be rented for use by fan films, now that STC is completed.

CBS needs to see STC. I mean here is a fantastic fan series. Now that Munves is out someone should consider 'Continuing' this fan series by turning it into an official series. It would be Illogical not to. It's amazing what a bunch of fans could do with a limited budget. It's not unlike what TOS experienced with their own limited budget. And to have Chris Doohan reprise his Father's role was icing on the cake. I was also thrilled with their choice of actor for the Romulan Commander from 'The Enterprise Incident'. I mean she was spot on. Wow! This show is a ready-made production. A lot of the sets may still be available. If not, STC has proved that creating the Star Trek universe on a budget is absolutely possible.

They had the Romulan bridge in their finale. The wall pieces are stacked in an unused corner of Sickbay. The “control center” is standing next door in the corner of Auxiliary Control.
