Maybe it'll never happen, but I'd like to believe that someday -- sooner than later -- James Cawley and Vic Mignogna, with whom he once collaborated making the STAR TREK NEW VOYAGES fan-episodes, will bury the hatchet and be friends again. Whatever bad blood there may have been between the two, they've each made terrific contributions to STAR TREK fandom, with Vic's STAR TREK CONTINUES being in my view the pinnacle of Trek fan-made productions. Vic couldn't have done what he did if Cawley hadn't paved the way with his Original Set re-creation at Ticonderoga and his NEW VOYAGES productions. Kudos to both of them, and it is to be hoped that they can put their differences aside and renew the friendship they once had. LLAP to them both.

Along with Fort Ticonderoga, the Lake Placid Olympics site is nearby. Excellent Video Log of your visit to the TOS Museum in Ticonderoga NY. James Cawley is the Ultimate Star Trek Preserver! I have visited the museum twice and highly recommend it for all Star Trek Enthusiasts. Once the Shuttlecraft Galileo In installed at the museum I will be traveling to visit it. Last time I visited the museum I was able to see Mr. Shatner again. He is a marvelous supporter of the museum and a living legend in the Star Trek Universe. The Restrictions Paramount has placed on Mr. Cawley’s Fan Film productions need to be repealed by petitioned if possible with Paramount. James has demonstrated his Devotion and Loyalty in capturing the Star Trek Universe for all to visit and enjoy. Star Trek is a franchise that promotes a world with a brighter future for humanity originally envisioned by Star Trek Creator Gene Roddenberry. My wife and I visited last summer ... very much worth it and I hope to go again some time (especially if the Galileo is there). Our tour guide was excellent as well, telling lots of amusing stories. "Surreal" is an understatement! I wonder if things have changed though. Our tour started with the transporter room, then through the corridors to the med bay. The briefing room was somewhere the middle of the tour, which ended with engineering (a smaller room than I expected) and then the bridge. Not sure the Auxiliary Control room was there yet? At least, I don't remember it. Did you get the story about the gold box in Kirk's quarters? And if you want to tour the fort, I HIGHLY recommend the Coffee and Cannons tour. You get in early, the curator give you a tour and fantastic talk about all the cannon there (I think only one of them is actually from the fort).

We visited in September 2022. It was wonderful. The tour staff were so knowledgeable that they couldn't be stumped by the "Trekkies" in the group (like myself). Moreover, they were gracious and accommodating. My only regret was that I only took 118 pics during the tour, should have taken at least five times that. Added note: There is a Pizza Restaurant across the street called "House Of Pizza", where we had lunch after our Star Trek tour. For less than $21 (including 20%+ tip, we, (wife and I), had the absolute best pizza I have ever had in my 67 years. Our tour guide told us that William Shatner stops by about twice a year to give fans photo ops (yeah, for a fee), and every time he comes, he smashes the button on the comms panel in the corridor with his fist and recites the infamous line "Kirk to bridge". That's why, when we were there, the button was broken and needed repair, because Shatner had recently been there. So vintage Shatner, so vintage TREK. Love it.

I highly recommend that if you are flying from the west coast that you consider Montreal rather than Albany or Burlington. Montreal is only a 2 1/4 hour drive, not all that much longer than the other two and can be reached by non-stop flights while the flights to Albany and Burlington often either have long connections on the way out, require flying on tiny airplanes for the final leg or require a very early morning departure, sometimes as early as 5:30 am on the way home. With flying to Montreal from Seattle I had an 8 am departure outbound with a return flight at 6:30 pm. Plus you get to see Montreal as well which is worth a trip all on it's own!

Common mistake - the view in engineering is down the plasma conduits for the warp nacelles, not an impulse engine. This is a mistake introduced by Franz Joseph in his flawed Enterprise blueprints where he put main engineering in the primary hull, where it is in the secondary hull. This is why you have arching ribs in the ceiling of main engineering.

Very cool! I've been wanting to get up there for ages to see the set tour, but I just haven't had the chance. I did see the Galileo at Johnson space Center when it was on display, though. I guess I'll have to make the Trek up north to see the Enterprise!

Hey Sir. You ever thought about building the U.S.S Enterprise from Fanhome models. I think that would go well with your set up. Now if you have this is my first time watching your channel. I really enjoyed the trip to the Star trek place. Now that was really cool.
@InterstellarModelerАй бұрын
Thanks so much. Just dont have much room left for display so have to hold off building any more Enterprises for now. Thanks for watching

Wow! That's looks amazing. Was about to say I'll probably never see it in person but it's only about 5 hours away so It's a feasible day trip.

That location used to be a grocery store …I didn’t know this was there now..I live 60 minutes away…I will be going and dragging the wife with me …thanks for putting this out there

@@americafirst2159 yeah that’s what were told that it was a grocery store before. I can see it now as I look at the design of the outside and the sign on the post. Have fun. Hope your wife likes Trek lol

Thank you Oggie for the update on Star Trek Ticonderoga, I am about 31/2 hours downstate from it. Been there like 3 times. Will check out the Galileo Shuttle next year! 🖖🖖🖖David

James and Marybeth have been busy... A lot of work done over this past year. The new no video is new. no issues last year what so ever filming while on the tour. Nice to see the 360 bridge set, they were missing the last two stations just past Spock's science station. I'm still waiting for them to get the Galileo up to spec. They have had her for the past year and a half. @Interstellar Modeler Next time go one more exit up on I-87 much quicker then going by the lakes on Rt 9. Albany to the set should only take you @ an hour and half
