You can completely bypass the jackshaft and plate and put the driven pulley directly on the input shaft of the FNR gearbox. Then you have one chain, from the gearbox output to the axle sprocket. Simplifies the build/fabrication, bypassed an unnecessary potential for failure and removes unecessary moving parts. Less failure points means less fewer replacement parts, less time spent fixing instead of driving, and less "leech effect" on the power between the motor output and the street.

Should the breather cap be left on? oil leaks while driving, does this happen to you?
@chipmusgrave53927 ай бұрын
Only problem I see is running a drive chain with two little sprockets with such a tight radius. It causes a lot of heat buildup, possibly reducing the chain’s life.
@CarlAyers-x8h10 ай бұрын
Just put the pulley on gearbox, then chain to wheel. Both on the same input/output shaft. No need for second chain.

Hey nice video. How did the gearbox holdup to the 420cc motor over time?

I drilled out the shaft on the gear box and put a bolt to hold the secondary clutch and it worked prefectly fine
@BubbaB433 жыл бұрын
I'm not exactly sure what this dude is talking about but I'm just like you, I bought a 40 series with a 5/8 board secondary, slit it up on the shaft, drilled and tapped the end of the shaft and used a bolt to secure it as well.
@Charles_primetime732 жыл бұрын
@@BubbaB43 I have the same problem. So you took the pulley apart drilled and tapped it somewhere in the center where the spring was and put a bolt in it?

NICE VIDEO, can you know a link or site, where I can find a gearbox to a Loncin 441 cc motor for my boat, forward and rewerse..? THANK's

That's what I need to know. I have a Kandi cart that I am about to drop a Stage 3 Predator 212 into and I want to retain the BNR shifter. I guess I will make a video about myself after I test it lol...

@@kylebush9454 same, I'm doing an 18hp shaft driven build with a hydro handbrake, I'm probably going to run twin forward reverse gearboxes so it can handle the punishment of drifting on pavement with a 2 speed transmission

Ebay has them for $108 and change. They are named Vevor forward reverse gearbox with neutral.

The only thing you needed to do was order a OEM comment secondary clutch or just the sheave for the clutch because they have a non built-in keyway.

@BubbaB433 жыл бұрын
What the hell does using a centrifugal clutch have anything to do with a reverse gearbox?
@davidwilliams92203 жыл бұрын
Because it's too much work to be modifying to put a reverse gearbox most of the time you don't need a reverse anyway it's too small for that if you're geared correctly then all you have to do is put your foot on the brake and hit the gas and you'll be able to spin around in a complete circle
