Wow that was a close call. Great driving

The track is savage, your driving is quick and smooth, but the way some of the marshals are standing just off the racing line would freak my head, keep up with the content 👍🏻

great job kid, nothing to be ashamed of for sure! But at the end of the video when you went of due to the stalled kart and when you came back on track made me pucker up because I have been T boned on karts.

That certainly was a close call on the last lap!! What a great track. But the dirt is unforgiving. I didn't see a lot of passing. Are you all that well matched or is this a hard track to pass on? Thanks for sharing. I'm subscribing.

First of all thanks for subscribing! It was my first race in X-30 so I haven't had much race experience. My tires turned on a bit too quick so I had a hard time halfway through the race. The drivers up front also are very good drivers, and luckily I am able to practice with some of the drivers and will soon pick up a bit more pace to battle more in the future.

Dude you had KILLER top end. You were eating their lunch down the straight. But they were eating your lunch off the turns and on mid range. You could have addressed this issue two ways. You could have added maybe a tooth on the axel sprocket. But would have maybe hindered a little on the top end. I would suggest adding about a half inch on your exhaust flex. That would help the low and mid range. Look son you were really good. I raced from mid 60s to 1979. I practically lived at Barnesville when Dick Wilson owned the track. I raced with his son Dicky for years. Also Lake Speed, Lynn Haddock and Mark Dismore. Mostly I ran in Open Light or Open Heavy. I ran Macs and Komets my favorite was a Cosair 100cc built by mark Dismore. I competed in Sprint and enduro. I learned the flex trick when I ran the Jacksonville track and on the long tracks at Daytona Charlotte Road Atlanta etc. I loved it all and miss it to this day. And I am 71 hahaha. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

@@pratesracingteam6741 My experience was waaaay before your time. I am so impressed how fast that karting has become. I went to a race last year out at Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside California. We live in Las Vegas. I'm an old Georgia boy Born in Atlanta. I .miss Georgia Karting very much. I see that Road Atlanta has really changed a lot. When I was competing they only had the Road course. And not the sprint track. They also did work on the hill coming down to the front straight. It use to be a lot higher. It really was fun on the enduro. I don't know much about the classes these days. I was a WKA and IKF member. My dad and I were some of the original founders of WKA. Along with Dick Wilson the previous owner of Barnesville and Guss and Randy Traiter of TNT Kartways Quincy Ill. Are you running a 125cc? Most all my classes were 100cc. I dabbled a bit with the B-Bombs and BM 135cc. Didn't like them very much. We relied a lot on cluth slippage with the 100cc engines. I don't really see that on some of the classes now. Is the clutch and engines controlled? Or are you allowed to do modifications? Our engines were heavily ported. On our stock appearing classes running basically gas and oil I would highly polish the inside. Not so much on the full mods as Methanol seemed to be faster with unpolished than the stock appearing. We were just getting into flowing the engines. It was a new technique we were just starting. My last race was at the North Georgia track Owned by Mr. Smith. Not sure if it is still in existence. I won the Spring Nationals there in Reed Open and Unlimited. Oh well, I bent your ear to much. Sorry about that. Just enjoy it while your young. One day you'll be old like me and can only reminisce. hahaha take care son. Greg PS. Just a question. What gear were you pulling at Atlanta Motorsports Park? If you need any tips you can text me at 619-642-7527
