This is tremendous pressure. Both players were under too much pressure and one finally broke down. It's cruel to put such good players under that kind of stress. It's similar to what was done to Lee Sedol in 2016 vs. AlphaGO. He was under huge mega pressure to win vs. the most powerful Go intelligence ever and he broke down. Game 3 Lee Sedol lost his head and fought directly with the computer losing by huge margin and humiliated himself. It was only after this defeat that Sedol was able to recover and calm down enough to play his top game and win. Kitani Minori was in the same exact situation. He was under strain to beat the greatest Go Intelligence Ever - Go Seigen; and he broke down as a result. Go Seigen Had an ELO rating of an estimated 3200-3300 in the mid 1960's. That would be enough to make him a top 100 Player Today -- 50-60 years later. HOWEVER --- Go Seigen's estimated strength came well after his head injury and motorcycle accident of 1961. He was effectively retired by 1970-75. In his Flashback games, he would occasionally play one game like his old self. One game in 1972 cam against Fujisawa Shuko 9P. IN that tournament match in 1972, Go Seigen dominated a ELO rated 3300+ player and made him look like an amateur in that match. He dominated so thoroughly, that Fujisawa Shuko (the oldest title holder in Japan history) resigned only about 150 moves into the match , down by over 30 pts. Given that he played 2-3 stones above all the other 8P and 9P players of his day when he was on top of his game, I'd give Go Seigen an ELO rating of over 3600. He was at least as good in his prime as Park Jon Won or Kei Jie is today. I honestly think that Go Seigen Circa 1952-55 in his intellectual prime could have beaten Ke Jie in a match today.

It's crazy how ahead go seigen is at the time, some people even compare how go seigen is as good if not better than shunsaku

Of course, Go Seigen was better than Ke Jie. I think Lee Changho is only current go player that can compare Go Seigen and Honinbo Shusaku. But, Lee said, he cannot play as good as Shusaku in lifetime. Dosaku and Shusaku are Go Saints. I think Go Seigen was a Go Saint, too.

How can I watch this movie?! It is available nowhere except a $30 copy on Amazon that can only be played with a European DVD player. Makes me want to throw my goban through a window!
