Oh, Love Madeleine Vionnet's work! I made her 1929-30s evening dress that is in patterns of fashion 2 (Janet Arnold, p.78, 34A). It's an awesome dress to wear

This was very interesting. I like how you included the history behind it. Also as a newbie I knew bias and bias draping existed, but it never occurred to me that things like which grain you were balancing against would be a factor. Very educational, thank you!

Thank you for doing these videos! Great tips and insight while you do the process. I am also a big vionnet fan. I did play around with some mockups of the dresses in Janet Arnold’s POF 2.. just to learn some of her concepts and how they work in practice. Looking forward to your dress in the next video :)
