"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." Thomas Jefferson.

Since 2020, the banks have been over-leveraging their assets, which was one of the reasons for SVB's implosion. I have never been okay with keeping much money in the bank. I simply focus on diversified investments through a financial advisor, collect my profits, which I either spend or repeat the process. Never been this comfortable with my finances.

I have learnt not to trust corporations, especially these banks. I was badly hit by the '08 financial crisis. Since 2019, I've just been focused on investing through a financial advisor and it has been paying off. No major loss has ever been recorded since 2019 i started. I'm closer to having over a million dollars now than i ever was with the banks. I'm never going back to banks full time.

Your car note etc. Yes the twenty in your wallet right now is actually a debt that we borrowed from the 1% through the central bank ( federal reserve ) that the 1% owns and controls. The reason for beer brewing is that beer contains the one disinfectant that will remain easy to procure: ethanol, also known as potable alcohol. Many other disinfectants require at least Industrial Revolution-level technology; and such disinfectants include chlorine. Beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages can be used to disinfect water for drinking. This is just one reason why beer and other adult beverages will always be in demand; and would therefore be a near-perfect bartering item.

They are called banks because back in the day people would find a place in a bank of dirt or hill and bury their money. To this day you hear of people around the world stumbling across a hord of gold/silver coins hidden by some soul who was never able to recover it. due to their death or being enslaved and taken away, never to return...

My biggest concern, given the current inflation rate, is how to grow my $300k reserve, which has been sitting stagnant for a long time with minimal gains. I understand the long-term strategy, but with inflation eroding my savings and my portfolio losing value daily, I need to find a solution quickly.

Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldn’t have to worry about savings as you do now. In 2002 our lecturer walked in to the lecture room and, after telling us to put our pens down, said: "ALL THE SIGNS" showed we were heading into a far FAR worse depression and recession than this world had ever seen before. IF the governments bailed the bankers in the even then predicted first wave of recession, without caveats, (which should have been placed, looking at the figures at the time in 2002), this would obviously lead into a second wave of recession (without caveats), we were looking at the end of the system. Boom, bang, (bust), war... Boom, bang, (bust), war... repeat, repeatedly... This time, if governments didn't kerb bankers over-sale of debt, and used all the Taxpayer's funds to prevent bankers bankruptcy - with the sums involved - when the second wave of recession hit, we'd all be bankrupt and bereft of benefit... (except those behind this!)

There is a line in the chorus of the song Po Folks. 'All my life been poor, but it really don't matter no more'. I have a decent life now. Bills paid. Food in my belly. But I was raised broke and just shrug my shoulders as everyone panics. I like watching these videos to keep an ear to the ground about what's going on, but that's about it. Was raised to assume everything you have can be taken away in an instant (job, health, house burns down) and act accordingly with your money.

Um yalls know that most all banks and credit unions are either FDIC or NCUA insured right? That's 250,000 per social protected. Even if a bank or cu went under, the feds guarantee your funds. If the feds default, well we will have a lot of other problems to worry about. So unless yalls are sitting on more than 250,000 cash in your account, it's safe (more if you have joint owners and beneficiaries). Imo taking it out as cash is foolhardy. With taking current long term average rate of inflation at a little over 3%. For every $100 you take out, you lose $3 per year because your money is worth less. So that pile of money you're sitting on? Slowly depreciating. I would reccomend pretty much anything other than hard cash.
