Seriously this makes me more anxious to get my 96 cobra running again. Just bought new wheels and tires,recently did my imrc delete plates,new oem injectors, and cleaned out the lower and upper intake,and now I’m just waiting for my mid kooks mid pipe and slp lm1 catback with kooks mufflers I bought to replace the ones that come in the slp lm1 catback,then I will be getting the cobra dyno tuned

@@HONEST69 I’ll never get rid of my 4v 96 cobra! I’d rather just buy a 94-95 cobra which I might end up doing eventually, but I did buy a super clean Oxford white Mach 1 a few weeks after posting my previous comment lol

I do think they are a better platform honestly. 4 wheel discs and 5 lug, lots of room for wide meats all around compared to a fox, interior is much better, better made overall, better handling, and they really don't weight much more. A stripper gts model vs an old stripper notchback prob isn't more than maybe 100 lbs or something and compared to a hatch it would be even less difference. And when they are done right they are dead sexy. This car is a good example. *edit* I have owned at least 3 different mustangs from both eras fox body and sn95/new edge all were v8 manual hardtop. I have nothing against a fox but for what they're going for nowadays the sn makes alot more sense and is a better car overall period.

How does he keep his temps at 170 degrees? My brothers 95 gts with trick flow top end kit and vortech blower is always around 200 degrees and climbing!
@deanwinchester1192 жыл бұрын
170 degree thermostat is my guess
@midnight3472 жыл бұрын
@@deanwinchester119 it's gonna take more than a 170 degree tstat to make a modified supercharged 600 rwhp sn95 stay at 170 degrees.
@midnight3472 жыл бұрын
Probably needs a larger radiator and a better fan setup may need a water pump as well upgrade all this and go with the 170-180 tstat. I mean this guy is making over 3x more hp than these had stock so anything near a stock coolant system probably isn't gonna cut it it's gotta be upgraded just like everything else.
@petrolhead88512 жыл бұрын
@@midnight347 yeah I told my brother we need to upgrade to bigger radiator and a more powerful fan with some serious cfm…and if there’s a better flowing water pump then we need to do that too, but just so everyone knows, when my brother did the trick flow top end kit, all the accessories were replaced with brand new oem or aftermarket parts, and I mean EVERYTHING!!!
@midnight347 Жыл бұрын
@@petrolhead8851 they make quite a bit more than stock power with a trickflow top end kit they're usually 300+ to the tire depending on other supporting mods like exhaust etc and a 5 speed 302 only made about 180 to the wheels in those days so that is a pretty big jump from stock. I think you're on the right track as far as figuring it out though.
@alexdownard19483 жыл бұрын
How did he fit 15s in the back
