When I was 3, I was hit and drove over by a car. The driver was never charged with anything and I was rushed to hospital with a broken spine, a brain haemorrhage and more injuries than imaginable. After 3 months, I went home. After 6 months, I was walking. After 2 years, I was running. I progressed so fast, the doctors telling me I may never walk again was almost impossible to comprehend. I got into football, however injuries, caused by the accident, prevented me from doing that. I can no longer run, jump or kick a ball. But I worked around it, I’ve never been the type to give up. I’m now playing wheelchair basketball for my county. This video means so much to me.

Every time I don't feel like doing something, whether I don't feel like going through the upcoming wrestling season, or I don't feel like doing my homework. I come to this video. There is something bout these type of people, their mindset, it's contagious. That's what I love bout people like Inky. They understand, they know what it takes, they know how to keep themselves motivated, and they know what it's like to be wounded (physically and mentally). Love his concept of 'sweat equity', its brilliant. This is definitely one of my favorite speeches I've ever heard.

I needed this. I recently found a love for football. I started getting HUNGRY to play it, to do every single drill I could to just get a breath of football. I started loving going to practice, I worked my butt off every second we were practicing. Our team isn't the best, but we all have an extreme love for it. I recently got a mild concussion and I couldn't play. THis has been the toughest part of my life. My days of being a football player at this team are coming to an end. I am out and I just went to practice yesterday to watch. It was the most amazing feeling I have gotten. I saw EVERYONE working their ass off, and it was amazing. I also saw it from the coaches' point of view. Having that little self in it trying and WANTING to play just one more game, and not being able to, that made me HUNGRY. I go back to football next week and I can't wait. Thanks for listening I just needed to get this out.
