Mustard seeds are never added in Authentic Goan Prawn Curry. Muneer Oumar learn to take criticism in your stride and learn from it. And please don't talk about Goan Curry if you don't know about it,you may talk about korma if that is your specialty.

Hi...how much oil to use and which oil is the best for this recipe? Also the taste of the curry is supposed to be on the sweeter side or saltier? Actually I have never tried a Goan-dish before, so a bit of guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Shukla, you can use around a tablespoon of coconut oil or vegetable oil. The curry should not be too salty, I would say slightly on the sweeter side. However if you like things spicy, you can add green chillies or extra red chilly

Wow some of you are so critical. You may be Goan, and so am I but all of us have different likes, recipes and preferences. If you don’t want to add ginger/curry leaves/ mustard just leave it out. How condescending of you to come to this lady’s channel and tell her she’s wrong. She’s showing you how *she* makes prawn curry. You’re free to do what you want. Seriously, what is wrong with you guys? Grow up 🙄

Sorry I have a different opinion. I look for recipes as I don't know cooking. Whenever I watch a video I decide to use it based on content of video, presentation, comments, likes, etc. Everyone is free to express their opinion without using any offensive language. It is upto the watcher if he wants to follow instructions from video or modify it according to some comments.

Method is slightly different from the way many Goans prepare Goan Prawn Curry. The Hindus preparation is different from the way Catholics make it but nevertheless both versions are equally tasty. Being a Catholic I prefer the Hindu version.
