Hi Veena, Another unique style of making delicious mouth watering sweet Sheera and Sheero recipe. When I was growing up my dear Mom used to make back home. I didnt have that recipe. I made the Shera this morning and it turned out to be perfect.Thank you for the preciseness with which you explained and the perfect proportions I added a little more ghee-two tablespoons I felt it was a little dry And a little less sugar ie one tablespoon

Oh yes, you can, Grace. The colour of the dishes will be slightly different, and you'll get the distinct taste of jaggery. But the dishes will be delicious.

Yes, John. You can make your own variations to the basic recipe. Some people even add pieces of mango or mango pulp to these recipes and make mango sheero or mango sheera!

It should preferably be the normal rava for sheera. But for sheero, any kind of rava will do.
