So first off, that Arran Blonde beer looked delish, no wonder extra coffee was needed the next morning. Darling little waterfall (can a waterfall be darling?). BTW, "In a world of monochrome" could be the name of a band lol! Too bad the views were obscured at the summit, but was still beautiful, and seeing the view of the sea was a real stunner. Yum, your dinner looked scrumptious. Thanks as always, Murray!

spent many easters on arran up to 20 years ago, aways as foot passengers, then catching the bus. etting the driver know where we wanted dropping off. then setting off back to brodick backpacking, and camping on remote cols, or most memorably under a'chir. waking up to deer all round.

@@ScotlandsMountains excellent can’t wait to see that I used the bothy at Dibidil which was wonderful and did a circuit around the corrie there but for a full traverse I did a backpack once many years ago and camped at the col between trollaval and Ainshaval it’s a tough walk plenty of scrambling but the best walk outside of Skye in all the Hebrides the views are incredible can’t wait to see your trip take care keep the videos coming they are fantastic and keep me happy as I live in Wales so only get up to Scotland a few times a year cheers

The trail looks well maintained but still rustic Everything looks like it’s greened up quite a bit. The view with the rushing water and heather is so peaceful . That is a beautiful trail. What a feast to end you day! Well done and take care🇨🇦❤️

It's about time you got yourself back down to my home island again Murray, nice one! 😃 Goatfell is best doing the full ridge from Sannox up Cioch na h-Oighe, that's a grand adventure. Camping in Glen Sannox on a sunny day at the start of June is also recommended to see the setting sun's shadow create the Devil's face in Coire na Ciche (The Devil's Punchbowl). 55.6601N, 5.1667W : NS00904528 : ~43m is a cracking spot for the tent. Cheers!

Hi Chris, totally agree. I've done the route from Sannox many times. There are so many scrambling options on Cioch na h-Oighe and the ridge along to Mullach Buidhe is sublime. ATB Ian and Meg 🙋♂🐶

Unlucky Murray, you got the exact same weather on the same mountain as I did last time I walked up there. All of my cycling trips around Arran have been in clear weather. I'm bikepacking a longer version of the Five Ferries route next week so I hope that you've taken the weather back to Perth with you 😉🤞 Cheers 👍

Nice one 👍Actually heading to Arran tomorrow for a overnighter and was originally planning this exact route with a camp up on the ridge. But looking a bit windy tomorrow so heading to the west side to explore with a walk up Glen Catacol and up and over to camp at Corrie Fhionn lochan were I hope to find some shelter from the wind if it's bad 🤞

Fabulous video Murray and lovely to catch up with folks. I absolutely love Arran and fortunate to have been several times and got good views off Goatfell the one time I have climbed it. One late autumn multi day trip involved crossing many of those streams which were in spate - dont think I have ever been so scared. Good times 🙂

3 or 4 times a year i pitch my tent on brodick beach of an evening and in the morning i Run that mountain and back down before breakfast , one year i actually could see from the summit for miles and miles , it was beautiful beyond words .. ❤ But i dont call this youtube profile MISTY MOUNTAINS 360° for no reason as i dont have much luck with mountain views but Love the mountains all the more for that ATMOSPHERE ❤

Hi Murray I have been going to Arran at least once a year for longer than I care to remember. Climbed Goatfell many times and always prefer the Corrie Lan approach. I posted a very amateur vlog of my last ascent with my old mate Richard 2 years ago called it Two old Codgers climb Goatfell mind you I had better weather than you!!
