Another informative and fun video! I love that you showed, though Yeosang initially comes across quiet, it’s not really a defining trait. I remember being so delighted to hear how chatty he was in a live he did with Wooyoung, but it’s not a rarity to hear him speak at length, lol. He’s very intelligent, witty, and thoughtful, and of course, hilarious! Yeosang has always sounded very royal, clear, and polite to me, so I’m glad to hear you also describe his manner of speaking as polite, breaking down what makes it that way in terms of grammar and intonation. That Fall Guys live is such a joy and a perfect example of what makes Yeo’s intonation so charming. He really is so soft and pleasant while speaking, even, like you said, in moments where others become more exclamatory. I think the most “extreme” and surprising behavior I can ever recall from Yeosang is the icy anticipation of revenge you could see on his face after Wooyoung teased him about his lisp on WANTEEZ. 🤣 In fact, it’s often Wooyoung who inherently brings out certain surprising yet joyous moments with Yeosang, which is very sweet. Yeosang is incredibly fascinating. I’ve never seen someone so angelic, which is captivating in of itself. But then he has all these layers, and I appreciate you being able to showcase some of that very well, just through a video on his Korean. ❤❤❤

I love listening to Yeosang! His soft voice, which isn't so much soft volume-wise, as just it sounds soft... but it just flows like water. He usually does a live once a week (on rough average) and it's almost always 1 hour, sometimes a little longer, and I try to actively listen, but it's so hard. His voice is so soothing, it's like a boat gently rocking on water. He is my main go-to for when I can't sleep and want to just hear a soft, soothing, calm voice to help me relax into sleep. (Him and Chan from Stray Kids, honestly.) I don't even hear the lisp any more, I listen more for his little chuckles. He smiles so often when he speaks and it's the most vibrant audible smile that any of Ateez has. His sense of humour is WICKED. He may not talk as much or as frequently as some others (Wooyoung), but when he does decide to unleash his sass, it knows NO bounds! But I struggle to listen actively, because it all just becomes a river of sound. I laughed so hard during that episode with the debate about looking at an idol versus attending another idol's concert. Yeosang was just so ADAMANT and so persuasive! Heck, I was swayed and I should absolutely be on the side of being allowed to go to other concerts! And the yapper Wooyoung clip is still one of my favorites to show people. I really love how conscientious Yeosang is about making sure that people around him know how he appreciates what they do. He is very interactive on his lives, responding to comments often and having chat members help pick a "catchphrase" for the day. His dedication to setting aside an hour or more for his lives is a subtle way for him to show how much he cares about his fans. I think that's one of my biggest takeaways, he isn't usually overt in how he shows how much people mean to him, but he shows it ALL THE TIME. One of my favorite bits of trivia about him (and Wooyoung) is that they met at Big Hit. When Yeosang left to join KQ, Wooyoung quit to follow him, even though Wooyoung was likely going to debut with (I think) TXT. He gave that up to follow his friend, saying that they would succeed or fail together. Yeosang was explaining in one interview how friendship with Wooyoung works and was explaining how, with most friendships, there is a long period of getting to know each other and getting close. But Wooyoung skipped a lot of those steps and after just a couple of meetings, one day he just turned around and bit Yeosang on the arm. I thought that was one of the funniest things I'd ever heard, because the tone of Yeosang's voice was STILL shocked and you could hear that bafflement in his tone. I'm not convinced that part of that bafflement isn't "Why did I stay friends with this person?" (Which was never his decision, Wooyoung decides who his friends will be and he won't let them get away.)

They are newly debuted in April of last year and all three members are either hard of hearing and wear hearing aids or have cochlear implants. Just to add a little more detail, in the looking vs concert debate - it wasn't just about looking at another idol for a few seconds, but it was the scenario where fans wait outside a music show to greet their idols afterwards, so they were saying "what if atinys were there to greet you, but you saw them also greeting and being excited to see other idols? If they maybe had signs saying "I love ateez" and turned the sign around to say "I love xxx" as soon as Ateez turns their backs?" So that's why there were more votes for that side at first; they argued that maybe a friend asked them to go to another concert that they wouldn't have gone to otherwise. And also, I think for them it felt like more of a ~betrayal if it was happening right there in the moment while Ateez were still there, whereas at a concert it's not a competition between groups for attention, per se. But yes, we can see Yeosang has great debate skills to summarize his argument so clearly and effectively to win almost everyone over to his side lmao

I think people call him quiet because in formal interviews he's less likely to speak than the others (I've definitely seen some where he only said his name) - this is especially true in English-language interviews I think!
