I got a couple rolls of copper tape that I use to make new pads and stuff like that. It's a lot thinner and easier to work with than solder braid.

How thick is it? I have some that I thought about using but given that this is a 12 volt line, wire seemed like a safer bet. It was surprising to discover that based on 12V ~.2 amps requires far heavier than 34 AWG at least according to what I could find.

@@GoCellPhoneRepairIt's not as thick as aluminum tape for duct work. It's about like medium grade aluminum foil. I got it a long time ago and it doesn't have any info on it. I think you can get different thicknesses? Surely you can.

I think MicroMadge Repairs also uses copper tape for these types of repairs as well.

That’s funny. Also really annoying that KZbin won’t let me set a custom thumbnail and this is what they picked.

I've been using 2UUL from Union Repair for the last couple months. Mechanic No. 225 is also good.
