I like that you have not tried to block out your past doing male oriented things it kind of helps me appreciate the fullness of your personality now. You miss some things that you did as a male and that has not hurt your beauty and sexiness as a female. You seem to be stable and at peace with your past and it shows.

My admiration for you and respect has gone up as I like the way you can still relate to your previous life because that is something we can and should never lose because that is a big part of who we are today . I often sit and think about my male pass and am all ways happy to talk about frank’s life as frank never died just Resolved into the person I am today . I have taking the good points of my male life and mixed them into my female personality and that who I am today and like you Charlie there are things I miss but not enough to want to ever be the person I was .because the person I am today is the person I should have all ways been happy contented and totally at peace with my life and who I am

You sound just like me with the things you dont miss, oh my when you brought up the football one I about laughed out loud. Growing up family always went to aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, house every week end for get togethers, and what was always on tv? Foot ball,basket ball, somekind of sportshow. Anyway, i am transitioning also and it just hit home take care. 😊

I absolutely love this series of videos. It put into words a lot of the things I've always thought, and showed me some things I haven't noticed transitioning while at university. Thank you so much for making this!

About the charming chivalry - I'm currently a male who recognizes this in the world, but does not perform it due to my current male presentation and the self-esteem I have because of being male. I'd rather be female and both experience that and give that charm and perform the nice dance with another attractive female (I'm bi). That point struck a cord with me. Thank you for sharing your experiences; they're shedding light on how life is like going through with a physical and mental transition.

I sometimes miss how it was okay to take up space, like having my legs wide open when sitting, or crossing them 90 degrees. I don't miss the false pretenses of liking football. It was an excuse to drink for me. I quit drinking all together. You look amazing and very happy BTW! HUGS!

This was a really interesting video! I've always been curious on the different social aspects a trans individual has experienced. Thanks for creating the list! Oh my goodness, living in a world of football! :S No, thanks! Many of the things you listed as a miss made sense to me as a woman. :) For instance, having to look over your shoulder in safety ALL the time is a so blah.

Male bonding over alcohol and sport? Ugh, I never did that in the first place. I was never accepted. Losing physical strength is a bit of a practical disadvantage. I need way more help moving house. We're at less risk of street violence, so I don't worry much about that. The fact that any ageing is a huge blow to my physical attractiveness is a big disadvantage. I would be a catch past 40 as a man.

I had to learn to follow football just so i had something to talk about in male company. It was more tolerable than talking about cars. Ive always hated laddish behaviour and always used the cubicle since i was a child. Squatting outside instead of standing is so much better... No wind to worry about.

Am definitely going to miss being safe at night / bad parts of town and missing my strength because I love sports and will have to drop a few beer league divisions. But that's definitely worth the price of reducing muscle mass in my shoulders, arms, neck, and back.

To me, I think peeing standing up will be the thing I'll miss the most. It's so much quicker and more convenient! I never really experienced much male bonding, so I'm not going to miss that. I have some male friends, but we're all nerds and don't do typical "male bonding" stuff. I've always much preferred having female friends. I'm looking forward to being able to participate in female bonding, like going shopping together and that sort of thing. I was never into the "chivalry" thing. I mean, I like doing nice things for people in general, but being expected to do it in a specific, gendered way always made me really dysphoric.

Cis woman here. Are you kidding? It's an undisputed chance to sit down, maybe for the first time in six hours. Joy to the world; that's one of the best things about being a girl. I guarantee whoever coined the term "the porcelain throne" was female. 😏😊

I would love to see a vid on conversations as you see it . I loved talking with the girls doing hair & beauty at the collage I attended .The guys on my corse All went to play cars or off playing football. I used to have them say to me " your in there with all them girls mate . But it had nothing to do with getting off with the girls , just they were interesting and fun to chat with.

Ha funny that Frances commented, about watching sports, but not really much of a supporter of the teams. I used to follow the AUSTRALIAN Rugby team - the Wallabies, nowadays I don't even know the players now. I still enjoy cars 4x4 etc and V8 Supercars, but not as much as I used to. I used to drink myself stupid, nowadays I drink 6pack of mid strength beer.. Pee standing up ? I prefer squatting anyway, no dribbles 😊 THANKYOU for sharing Take care 💜💚💙BRIE💖💛❤️

Don't worry about your cat being a distraction. One of the few good things to come out of the pandemic is the fun of watching pets photo bomb their owners Zoom calls. And happily, that aspect is here to stay. Yay! (My Evie is all grey, too.) One F to M trans vlogger told of one kind of funny, but mostly sad, aspect of being a man he never expected : looking at babies. He said that everybody likes cute babies, and that hasn't changed. But before, whenever he saw a parent pushing a stroller and went over, they would just smile and nod. But after transitioning, that is no longer possible. Even if both parents are standing right there, they both tense up and look anxious, because obviously men don't care about babies, unless they want to hurt them. He thought, what the hell....? But then he asked cis male friends and they all confirmed it. Don't even glance at a baby, you learn that very young. Even for young boys, because they're "just too rough.." 😒☹ Baby/football, it's all the same to cretinous males, apparently the feeling goes.

It's interesting to hear missing some of the guy stuff . We are all different so for me I've not really missed that stuff as I never really felt right with it . Can I ask how do you compare conversations with men v woman ?? I do understand the nostalgic thing with my past , and once I get the op I'm sure I will need a she wee .
@GoCharlie
@GoCharlie 10 жыл бұрын
christastic100 I know what you mean, conversations - that's an interesting thing I will make a video on maybe. I find that I've always found it easy to chat with girls, what I think I really get a buzz off is chatting to guys as a girl - that's fun ;D the way I chat to guys has changed, like my old style 'guy chat' has gone - sure I can talk matter a fact about stuff but my speech is much more animated. I'll still chat to male friends on the the phone but with a few people it's changed in a subtle way, the dynamics of the conversation.

Funny really, not that any of them would admit it... I don't know, they will tell me I look great and I guess appreciate the way I look, but going beyond that would be weird - we've known each other that long it wouldn't be a good idea! Occasionally someone grabs my bum for a joke though! Think maybe I let a few of them feel my boobs as they were curious... we'd had a lot to drink.. oh dear this isn't good really is it?! Lol

Hello christina.I hated going to the urinal with all the blokes and standing shoulder to shoulder too.I always felt really embarased.In all the vids I've watched,it's strange how trans people have similar experiences and trains of thought through out their lives growing up.I find it hard relating to,or getting involved in their conversations.And now the ones that now I'm trans won't let me in. You seem a lot better now that a few months ago.Chirpy and happy. That's all.Ta,Ta.Emily.OZ

I never usually stand up peeing lol I always sit. I Hate when guy friends talk about sports -_- I like football but not enough to like watch it I like watching movies and stuff. I feel the only things I'd miss is the strength I've built up for parkour but I'll still be able to do parkour so it'll be worth it. Being intimidating or aggressive that will never change lol I'm never aggressive until I've been pushed a bit over but I think having a girl get in your face will still be intimidating.

I listen to this series of likes and dislikes while working. I did race a Spitfire back when I was younger and then a TR6 that was all set up for race but was a road car. Had it for many years and sold it once I began transition,, still wish I hadn't till this day. I still have a burning desire to have a Lotus Esprit S2 or a Ferrari 308GTB. But the kicker of his video for me was the sports shit guys jam in their heads and then want to download on everyone else to prove their being part of the "team" or some other male privilege tool. I just never got it. I was always small and the last person picked for childhood games. I still am a volunteer fire fighter and nothing is more fun then when whatever sports season is going on the tv at the station I make dumb remarks. Purposely saying things related to an entirely different sport just to get a rise out of them. Or after someone throws out a monologue of statistics asking them for their source of information and if they would repeat it slower. To damn funny and usually I will get another person involved and banter wrongful information about the game until they ask us to go home.. hahaha I just never got sports,, Formula 1 sure thing but these athletic games between men no thanx. Oh yeah one more thing I hated standing up to pee and always sat down,, my x used to yell at me when she would find me sitting peeing before I came out. She would say guys stand girls sit. Well I guess I showed her lol.

Actually, not all things regarded as purely MALE are truly male. I've seen girls, and by girls I mean really beautiful and slim young girls who can actually drink more than a pint! Moreover, that without standing up at all! I quit drinking beer a few years ago, because I have diabetes. And drinking one pint is as equal as eating a piece of chocolate cake - that's what it does to the blood glucose. Not very healthy habit. I also tend to think I've always had this, gender dysphoria, sort of. Now I'm 58 years old, and ever since I was a little boy I have never ever been interested in football (soccer in the USA). Not only that, I cannot play football at all. The guys I played with always made me play with them, but I could not. That's why they always made me a goalkeeper (I had to, even if I didn't want to play at all).

I can't figure this out. Why does every sentence have to have at least one "y'know"? Do you do all that fake throat clearing when the camera's off? What's with all the "sort of"" and "kind of" and so on? With all the posturing and magnified coy-ness, there's not a whole lot of interest or information. IMO
