I'd love for a monsters-only version someday to be paired with weapon packs of the user's choosing. A tier-selection would also be great so that the user can choose their level tier for the entire run, or for it to dynamically scale up based on how many levels they play. There are many op weapon mods out there (e.g. the likes of Russian Overkill), and with the right tier (and based on said weapon mods' difficulties) enemies can actually prove to be a challenge for said weapon mods.

It's amazing all the work you're putting in this! i'll need to play another iwad with gc when this update comes out. Btw when you used the poison chalice the doomguy face sprites with the bloody smile just changing really fast as he heals and loses HP is amazing and creepy lol my guess is this wasn't intentionnal but it makes the poison chalice even more malicious. I like it. New monsters are awesome, especially the Phase Eminence (nice name btw), love the new breaking mechanics. Those new icons for the shield sphere are beautiful, great work overall !

Just tried the mod for the first time and i have to say, I LOVE IT! It's so much fun, all the variation of enemies, the legendary enemies bossbattles (i have killed 2 legendaries already) and the giant arsenal. Also i'm surprised by how my phone doesn't drop any frames when a legendary starts throwing a shit ton of attacks at me. Amasing mod!

Awesome update! I have a couple of thoughts and suggestions. First, some technical ones: - You may be able to make the difficulty list appear as big text again with the ForceList instruction. It might not fit on the screen though. I know it works in the episode list as it was also an issue when Sigil 2 got added to WadSmoosh - I like the idea of boss map markers but they kind of... don't seem very visible to me? There's just something off about them. I like the usage of the D64 symbol and I do agree that it should be more desaturated after the boss dies. - I don't know if it's possible with your current setup, but I'd love to have some parts of TargetSpy integrated into your healthbars - namely the ability for them to appear above the targeted enemy and maybe the target frames. I could just set GC healthbars to armor only and use TS normally, but this way I'm not getting you really nice looking stylized healthbars and I still need to manually adjust the armor bar to a new position as it looks awkward alone at the top of the screen. Now, for some content ideas: - I totally see a place for Doom 3's Hell Hunters and Heart of Hell in your mod. You already have a reference to the modern continuity with the Marauder, why not one from Doom 3 as well? I know you're by now very satisfied with your progression system, but I feel like the Heart would make an awesome endgame progression item (beyond the terminator cores? or maybe as a replacer to them? even a secondary progression, unrelated to the main one?) It could be used to summon in the Hell Hunter bosses (and since there were originally 3 of them they would also fit the legendary/enraged/nemesis tiers) and defeating each one would upgrade the heart in a similar way it did so in Doom 3. Obviously, if it gave the same effects, it would be pretty overpowered so that would require some balancing, but I'm sure you could figure something out, if you like the idea that is. If not a progression mechanic, it could still be a usable item that could be used for a clutch save. - The entire Virality system reminds me a lot of the Outbreak Prime/Perfected pulse rifle from the Destiny games, both in theme and visuals (Outbreak shot nanomachines but they were themed like a virus). I could totally see a similar weapon in GC as a nod, though I totally understand if you don't want to have a Destiny reference, especially considering the current state of Destiny 2.

Thanks for the feedback! I did try ForceList but couldn't figure it out lol, and am happy with how it is There is a weapon that makes use of Viral damage. The Viral-Tech Atomizer gives enemies a Viral debuff that makes them spawn viral globs when they die which damages nearby enemies, so it is kiiiind of similar to Outbreak from D2. A lot of inspiration for weapons in GC came from Destiny 2 lol. Legendary Revolver uses Hawkmoon sounds :D

These are some amazing new features and updates to look forward to! One thing im struggling with on a current playthrough was dealing with too many true legendaries spawning close to each other (or same room) and probably vexed spawns move too fast. (Too many true legs may be a spawn setting issue on my end?) This playthrough is on that easier difficulty below UV recommended cause i get my shit wrecked

I had it set so a True Leg Imp and True Leg Phase Imp could both spawn in the same spot which I undid recently. Vexed monsters can be painful. You should see them a little less in the next update as they won't spawn from Nemesis monsters anymore. Just a lowish chance to replace Nemesis monsters on map start

Thank god for the shield changes and the buff list. This mod *really* needed in game explanations. Awesome changes all around. Timefreeze was really stupid before, especially when so many enemies are immune to the Hymn of Freezing which easily serves as the weak version anyway. Phase marine and the phase pistol are definitely in the 1.0.7 release of GZDoom god complex already. In regards to difficulties, I really wish that each thing enabled by a skill level was just its own option for more customizability. Don't know how doable that is. It's just, the lower difficulties are pretty lame, and the settings are dictating a lot more about the experience than just how hard it is. What if, for example, you want to play with more legendary spawns and fast monsters but normal non-legendary spawns and no multiplayer spawns. Because you have shit taste, I'd assume, bad example, but still. The find all secrets reward is also definitely in the current release.

Just a small suggestions. 1) We have buttons for using medkit/armorbooster, so idea is to hide this items in the itemlist to prevent cluttering and show them near shieldsphere(or somewhere). 2) Higher player level - more maximum medkits/armorboosters?

Playing alot with explosive railgun and it is perfectly balanced about damage, but i think it eats not enough ammo per shot(normal railgun eats 10, and explosive - 15). Maybe 20-25 per shot would be nice(still with 3 shots per cartrige)?

The devastator doesn't deal damage to the True Leg sentient because it was on invulneravility state and the devastator doesn't have invul piercing

the monster cleaner should be working in reverse like how many to keep behind cleaning the first to die if it passed the set count... & before that .. a trigger button on top of that slider to ON/OFF it - although the reverse count might overwork the CPU renumbering EVERY monster each time 1die?... - example: clean: 0.0 = keep ZERO dead monsters behind clean: ~300~ = keep ~300~ dead monsters behind etc... - -

This looks amazing, but also super intimidating as someone who just plays basically normal doom, I mean I use a custom dehac with slightly beefed up enemies, but I am just a standard doom guy, not a guy with a GOD COMPLEX! Gotta say though, looks so good, really reminds me of just playing hexen and heretic with a touch of ut2004 invasion rpg. If anyone wants to enlighten me, feel free too, but for now this is going in watch later =P

Hello UltraViolenceDoom, sorry to ask you this, it maybe invalid to ask. I tryed today to run your GodComplex with GZDoom Version 4.11.3, I use a launcher to ensure that I can define the file load order, to follow the order of files to load from your readme file. When I launch the game I see the screen with the loading bar and the game sits there for like one minute before it drops out with a exception in the randommons_GodComplexGZ_1.0.2.pk3. It complains that some actor defintion is not okay. Is your mod possible to play with GZDoom at all? In the video you give introductions to setup the mod you only speak from Zandronum. I guess its not compatible with GZDoom or not comaptible with the 4.11.3 version. What source port should I have to run your mod? Zandronum I presume by now ? Thank you for any answer or clerification. Kind regards Reilsss

Interesting, it is possible to fix Boss music? Now it stops playing on loading the save, kinda small thing but it's kinda tones down abit epicness of bosses if they killed you and you had to load the save. Btw I only recently discovered this mod, and its great, alot of cool weapons which are very satisfying to use, really nice sprites and sound design, and same for monsters.

Nvm figured it out - apparently Screen Size has to be set at exactly 11 for the GC hud with all the fragments etc to display. Omg though it's so beautiful! Tysm foe this!
