I recorded it the one time it happened to me, but since the PS4's internal video recorder craps itself all the time, there's a chunk of it missing. Magni got the credit, because he's blond, and Modi has been bitter for it ever since. Disturbing fact, or fact of fiction I should say. That story with the giant who built a wall for Odin. In the actual mythology Loki was there as well and, once Odin realized he was going to lose his wadger, he tasked Loki with stopping the giant. Well forced really. He did this by becoming a female horse, which would lead the giant's own trusty steed away, and would make the giant lose. Of course here is how Loki managed to keep the steed away without it losing interest. Basically he had to let the stead impregnate him. His child would become the 8 legged horse that Odin himself would employ as his own noble steed. That's the actual mythology in a nutshell.
@thesaturn50455 жыл бұрын

Yeah, the walls were destroyed by the war between the Vanir and Aesir so the giant offered to rebuild them out of stones but in exchange he wanted Sol (the Sun), Mani (the Moon), and Freya. But the reason for the wager was partly Loki's fault... He convinced the gods to agree to the giant's terms, claiming the task would be impossible to finish in the allotted time... Honestly Loki could best be described as a god who embodies the characteristics of a sleezy used car salesman.

Most storytelling in games work best with a show-don't-tell narrative But the opposite works best when you have a narrator with a soothing voice to tell you everything during a ride across the world

I love Norse mythology so much and have read about the gods and their great stories, it made sense that Vikings fought their battles in their name, even hoping to die as warriors to go to Valhalla; but hearing the these stories again by Mimir, but darker and more evil... It's actually more logical? Idk, I would love to see an expert of Norse mythology reply's on this.

I remember the narrator of Krato's life in GoW1-3. I'm always waiting for that narrator to talk and tell a story. And now, in GoW4 that Mimir comes. I miss the lady who tells the story and what's happening in previous GoW.

Here in 2021 thinking, man it would’ve been absolutely hilarious, if SMS were to have named the sequel anything else other than Ragnarok. Mimir hypes it up so much in the first game, it’s almost exhausting. 🤣 Really breaks my heart knowing the game is delayed, & isn’t on track for a Winter 2021 release though. 🤦🏻♂️ I’ll definitely b visiting the video regularly, to refresh my memory. 💯 Thanks. 🤲🏼🌹🤲🏼
@middleborder3 жыл бұрын
The game was delayed because of Christopher Judge, the actor for Kratos. He had to have surgery on both his hips, one or both of his knees, and his back I believe. They went out of their way to delay the game so Chris could recover. That is abnormal for a studio to do, especially in that industry.

The stories are fairly faithful. 17:43 That story is altered though, originally the giant mason asked for Freya's hand in marriage, and Loki foiled the wager by seducing the giant's horse while disguised as a mare himself.... Must be weird for Mimir to share that story with Atreus who is basically Loki lol... God of War's story is sketchy but a fun alternate take on the norse gods I guess lol.
@iwu57373 жыл бұрын
I think this story was suppose to add towards the next game, he says “I think there is something that could be exploited that she knows of” and it has to do with the walls, witch is crazy the amount of depth they are giving about the next game just by this one story.
