God of War Ragnarök is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 9, 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It will be the ninth installment in the God of War series, the ninth chronologically, and the sequel to 2018's God of War. Loosely based on Norse mythology, the game will be set in ancient Scandinavia and feature series protagonist Kratos and his teenage son Atreus. Serving as the finale to the Norse era of the series, the game will cover Ragnarök, a series of events that bring about the end of days, and depicts the deaths of some of the Norse gods, which was foretold to happen in the previous game after Kratos killed the Æsir god Baldur.

Sindri's speech to Atreus after Brok dies is my favorite part in the story. Sindri gave everything to Atreus. All his support, love and resources. It then cost him everything he cared about. It's like the old saying. No good deed goes unpunished. For a post scene this is quite incredible. Even the emotion is portrayed as if they were real people. Masterfully done.

Bruh you have no idea how happy I am to see Kratos *actually* have family and friends. Hell of a lot of them. But really close ones too like Mimir (who he calls brother!) and Freya. He had none in Greece and even when he came to Norse, he just had Faye and his son. Now it's much more. Crazy tbh but so damn deserved. It was so nice at the end to see all of them talk about Atreus's future with Angrboda lol like a family.

He basically had Athena, his half sister, who always carried for him. Not as close as Mimir, sure, but still a person, who he could rely on. Except for that moment, when she shielded their father, Zeus. Not that she would love Zeus more, but because she believed, that Zeus is Olympus and with his death, Olympus would fall (which eventually happened anyway, poor Athena).

What an awesome ending for Tyr. Odin as the impostor Tyr played him as he saw him: a broken down, unmotivated prisoner. What we got at the end of the game wasn't that Tyr, but rather an enlightened sage whose mind had been long freed from captivity.

Kratos only clenches his fists when he's dealing with something that takes an emotional toll on him. His fists are clenched when he goes to Brok's body initially, but when Sindri goes to Brok you notice his hands are relaxed and become clenched when Sindri reaches him.

A lot of people are missing this key thing I think really ties this together. In the first three games, I cannot remember which, Kratos was granted godhood because he gave up/lost his humanity. His lack of remorse or empathy when killing brought him to Godhood, and now that he has strayed away from it, he is moving on. And now in this game, he's finally got a happy ending, peace, closure. He's finally human.

That's an interesting perspective but I'd say Ragnarok was a bit more about his journey from being a human who only wants to protect his family to being a beloved god that protects his people (the angraboda panels of people worshipping him at the end and his reaction to it) He's finally on his way to what a god is supposed to be, he opened his heart to the suffering of other people and is trying to protect them now with freya. It ties back to odin taunting him about never having been worshipped or loved by the people so he isn't a real god etc.

I noticed he was fighting with a sword during the battle and it really sealed the deal for me when ( SPOILER!! do I even have to say spoiler?) He landed the final blow against Odin. I feel as though Freya and Sindri had the most right to the kill and I couldn't be more pleased on how it all ended. Sindris shift and change completely was one of the most heartbreaking things to see in the game hands down.

It’s depressing seeing the one character that obsessed over hygiene being all dirty and unkept, it speaks on how much the death of his brother has affected him deeply, it hurts to see that even after the game is over Sindri doesn’t quite find inner piece, he is still grieving and he will probably be doing so for quite a while, I like it this way since it is more realistic but I would be lying if I said it doesn’t leave a bitter aftertaste; honestly this game was a masterpiece.

I wonder how many Tyr interactions there are in post game. I found him in Alfeim, looking out to the large desert from the cliff side. He asked Freya about the temporary unity between light and dark elves for Freyr, adding that he wished to have been able to witness it

Sindri might well be my fav character in this game AND I NEVER THOUGHT ID SAY IT. He had the best development he even started getting all dirty and took off his glove because it was brok’s retrieval journey that made him like that in the first place and now that he lost brok theres no point in any thing. Brok’s a legend as well in this one😞

It will be quite nice though, and the story would center around Atreus attempting to make amends with Sindri but getting refused until somehow someway, Sindri managed to get Atreus to feel what Sindri felt: lost, but Sindri still not feeling satisfied and still bitter yet Atreus (in an extended chapter) forgive him somehow.

I doubt it, at the end he just seems more hurt and broken than anything else. Even if he did want vengeance, he wouldn't drag any other dwarves into it. He made that clear during Ragnarok.

I haven’t seen any posts about this but as I was going back and getting ravens after freeing the real tyr I found him by the mystic gateway overlooking the lyngbaker and he talked to mimir about his regret of not being able to truly free it. I think there may be more scenes like this with tyr after you free him.

If you look closely in this video, Freya missed to hit the boat with the arrow. The arrow fals and also makes a noise and splash a few feet in front of the boat before the boat catches fire as scripted by the programmers :)
