It pains me to say this but, this dethroned the nipple video as my favourite midgard video. The editing and subtle humour is superb, and i love how it exceeded my expectations, coming in here expecting to get a story breakdown but instead i get to see mid spending points on the other spectrum of his skill tree ; gayming. Amazing.

Damn. Appreciate it man. Zesty, yourself and the merry band of challenge runners really made me think more about my gayming skills, so I have you to thank for this as well, in part

Such a W review, you explained it perfectly, I LOVED this DLC, it went BEYOND my expectations by a long shot and I'm so happy it did. Well said mr mid guard

The video is very emotional to me and very personal as well. I had same struggles. The dlc really made me cry, after beating game on Mastery difficulty and witnessing spectacular cutscene. And I'm happy for getting to love challenge and getting good at games. P.S: Now, beat every GoW game no damage pain+ without usimg sight

I’m actually the same with you, I don’t like the type of games where if you die you restart, BUT gowR Valhalla changed that for me. I highly recommend playing, plus you get free stuff in story mode if yiu complete the story. So it’s a win win

I couldn't care less about the Tyr fights. But amazing dlc and it's somehow FREE.

Such a genuine and heartwarming review. That point about synergy between player and character was spot on and i have no words for the entire last section about the dlc's accomplishments and SMS progressing while also respecting the legacy (i kid you not, this dlc makes me cringe even more harder at idiots who will generalise all AAA devs as money hungry and all AAA games as devoid of passion). This video goes to show how much you love the series and you're willing to get better at the gameplay for its sake, i do hope you'll get good one day, you definitely shall with time and practise. This video makes me even more grateful for finding a KZbinr like you who not only loves gow (especially the norse series)as much as i do but also synergizes with it. Just as how this dlc will be an iconic moment to me as a gow fan, so shall your channel too❤

Hey, Bro! Firstly, Great Video. You took the words straight out of my mouth! I've never seen any of your videos before, and so I thought I'd give you some gameplay tips so you can truly "master thyself." 😂 2 things. Firstly, I noticed that all throughout the gameplay that you always roll away from attacks, I'd recommend you try simply dodging them. The roll can be difficult to do in some situations and can also be disorienting at times. And Secondly, at 4:08 when you're spamming the enemy with that ranged attack. You see, when you attack an enemy enough with the blades, they get set on fire. The same thing happens with the axe but they begin to freeze. So, in this case, it would've been better if you done that attack for a while, then swapped to the axe to deal some bonus damage. H.t.h G 💪👍

after i beat the DLC i decided i think i am good enough to kill all the berserkers so i could start a new game plus with everything. well mainly for that relic that has the flying swords that the berserker king drops took me 13 hours worth of try's to kill the berserker king thats not counting the hours of grinding to+9 all my armor to try new builds to help lol

I doubt ill be the last to say this but im going to anyway. If you enjoyed Valhalla but still arent sold on roguelikes, you should really try Hades. Without going too into detail, there are a lot of things Hades does to elevate the genre that are also used in Valhalla. I can almost gaurantee that the designers of Valhalla were inspired by Hades to some degree. Dying in Hades never feels like a waste because you get treated to a whole new batch of npc dialogue, of which the writing and voice acting is nearly on par with gow2018 and ragnarok. Plus, its based on greek mythology, which im sure youre at least passingly familiar with. Seriously, cannot express in words how good Hades is. Very highly recommend.

There's just something about when you upload. Idk. Thanks for the awesome video. But did you really have to flash us with Tyr's weiner at the very last frame of this video? Not cool, man. Anyways, thanks for the video. We worked really hard on this DLC to make sure you enjoy it, Mid.

You nailed it man. From to the detail of hearing the shield madens encourage you to completing kratos’ arc and having him once again take the title of God of War this dlc was just amazing. Not once did I feel like something was half assed or done poorly. This is what a dlc should be

WHY have i never heard or thought to call them sisyphus simulators?!?!?! i typically keep a copy of that close by, be it work or home, haha. i am so ashamed. i do not like the vast majority of ragnarok, but i have enjoyed valhalla near as much as my many trips through 2018 and the greek saga. i would even say it's one of the very few "major label" games that achieves the narrative goals contextually, like bioshock and it's big twist or (the original) alan wake with the flashlight being a literal and figurative candle in the darkness in more ways than one. so, epitome is a good word for this "dlc", i think. a perfect distillation of the norse combat and the sort of thesis statement that is "be better" in the writing, baked right into the player engagement. brilliant, indeed. to that end, i would argue this video epitomizes what games can really do/be about/are for and so on. really, great work here, and i would tune in for a live stream to hear you gush about the series as much as share your attempt at getting any kind of better!

Every God of War game is way easier and better if you start at least on the second highest difficulty. Because otherwise, you‘ll never learn combat properly.
