The Massive Potential of a Faye Prequel Game

With the prospect of God of War leaving the Norse lands for other mythologies, and also some hints from the devs, it became clear to me that a prequel game (or DLC) focused on Faye would be an incredible way to spend more time in this world and tell a beautiful story of Kratos' wife, Laufey the Just.

"God of War: The Last Guardian" I was also thinking that a Faye prequel would be a fantastic new entry. In one hand it has a potential to overshadow GoW: Ragnarök with its story (because of the power of Fayes story).

I would absolutely spend good money on that, I’ve been saying that it’d be super cool to get a prequel of Faye’s past life. There’s so many questions and overall mystery surrounding her life before Kratos and I just love her character so much. I would love to see Faye and Kratos fight as well as seeing her fight Thor!!!

A Faye prequel game would be very great bc despite learning a bit more about Faye in Ragnarok there are some things we still don’t fully know like why she allied with the Dwarves to form a rebellion, How she got the Leviathan Axe from the Huldra brothers (did she help the with something or did she ask them to make the axe promising to do good with it), why she confronted Thor in Vanaheim and the BIGGEST mystery of all is how and why she died.

She formed a rebellion with them because Odin was pretty much wiping out and controlling everyone. Mutual benefit. Brok and Sindri would've likely built the Leviathan axe for her as a way to help defeat Thor and also some type of gift for helping the Dwarves. As for the last question, it's pretty obvious since Thor is literally wiping out all of the giants.

That’s sound pretty good. I felt that Norse game, although it’s pretty fitting, are very grounded, dark and there is not so much of mythological things. Thriving Nine Realms could bring some colours into the setting. Also, I really want that Kratos boss fight, if it’s real

it would be interesting to even control Thor and see Baldur being good God without having his mind lost to madness and anger And show how they became that and it would be interesting to see stories that haven't been told And see all those stories about Mimir And the Tales of the giants as it really happened,especially about Ymir Along the war of the Aesir gods vs the Vanir Gods The missing stories were: The story when Thor almost dressed as a bride,the kidnapping of the Goddess Idunn and her apples To be real or not,The story of Freya's necklace,The gift of the gods and finally the stories of the giants that Thor killed but were not shown as: Geirrod And his daughters,Hymir And finally UtgardLoki & Skrymir And show the pets of the gods And others childrens and grandchildrens of Odin that didn't appear And their possible disappearances I hope it happens 🤔😌👍 The Extra detail: It would be incredible if showing who Garm was before going to Hell and having his soul taken Was he the father of the wolves Skoll and Hati maybe? And It would be pretty cool show Thor facing the serpent for the first time and She it arriving at the lake Going back in time like and Bye!

A standalone Faye spinoff almost makes too much sense. Combine the axe gameplay with expanded bow gameplay, Thor boss fight in Vanaheim, meet and fight Kratos at the end with Atreus' birth as the final cutscene. Also show us an actual populates Jotenheim. And make it PS5 only which allows Santa Monica te experiment a bit with the PS5's power.

This video is incredible!!! I love how you made Faye's story mirror Kratos!!! It beautifully shows how there connected!!! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this video and it paid off!!! You did an amazing job as usual!!! Btw I appreciate how creative and passionate you are!!! The ending live action bit is hilarious!!! Unfortunately what you pitched is way too much for a DLC and needs to be a full fledged game for it to work. Also if we're getting a DLC then we have to be realistic and not set the bar too high or else we're setting ourselves up for disappointment. Tbh I'll just be happy with whatever we get, regardless of who's the protagonist!!! Santa Monica never made DLC before, so I'll be thankful for anything!!!

Another banger of a video TMC, I would love a video listing your ideas of what you want for a new main god of war game, with Kratos as a protagonist, or a side game with Atreus, which mythology, cool mechanics, story and shit... hell, you can even make a compilation of what fans want, like the sugestion box that Eric Willians said they implemented to make Ragnarok... would be cool.

I think its great idea to bring Faye solo game as a prequel. But You include A LOT of story for just a dlc. It could potentially cost same critical opinion as for GOW Ragnarok - to much story especially at the end. But I really hope that if Faye dlc is coming, they include there story of Faye and Tyr, getting Axe, fight with thor and kratos and of course WHO BLOW THE FU***** HORN

That's actually is the more interesting idea than the Atreus DLC, i would love to see something like this. A perfect opportunity to fill in the gaps in lore, to show some interesting events instead of just talking about them in the main games. Definitely down for that. Also, the ending of the video reminded me The Boys for some reason, i thought Cory would come close to you and say: "You're a fucking disappointment".

It sounds good on paper but to me it sounds way too big for a DLC its a little sad that we didn't get the trilogy for the Norse saga because than they might have been able to explore more of this world without thinking of a DLC. im not sure honestly im that interested in Faye's POV for this but sure why not.. Kratos is too iconic to not be in the game at all and if it will be connected by title to the main GOW series im not sure it would help their cause.

That would be just as boring man, there’s no way for them to make a game about a middle aged man spending most of his time fleeing from his past trauma. When Kratos went to Egypt he pretty much gave up on fighting. Kratos being in a game does not translate to it being good for sure, mf had 9 games!!!
