Spot on! The expression to have a 'good eye' comes from the Old Testament and is seen in Proverbs (eg 22:9 He who has a good eye will be blessed). Even today in Israel, people are asked to have a 'good eye' (ie to be generous) when they are asked to contribute to charity.

The more i seek God and try to follow his will, the more I realize how different we as Christians are - or should be - from the rest of the World. As I grew up and didn't really have a relationship with God - even if I believe he was right behind me all the time :) - it was all about figuring out way to make a lot of money - becoming a millionaire was almost the purpose of life. As a Christian, though, seeking God should be THE purpose. I think some people get it wrong if they think they have to more or less live in a tent without any material stuff of any kind to serve God. Later in Matthew 6 we learn that running after the riches of this world is what the pagans do, but when we seek God with all our heart these things shall also be added to us afterwards. In other words, God will provide for our needs in this material world that is not our home, but that we nevertheless have to figure out how to live in a be a part of so that we can serve God here before we go to our real home in Heaven some day. Good revelation and understanding verse 22-23. After listening to your interpretation, I also think the "bad eyes" has something to do with envious and covetousness of others wealth.When a person who when see his friends, neighbors, relatives who have nice earthly things, he become envious/jealous toward them, thus "bad eyes" for darkness (sins) filled his heart.

This is really good. I was lead to this verse today and after SOARing the verse , I went back and read it again...I felt like I was missing something because the verse almost seems out of place, I couldn't figure it out so I did some searching and found your video. The eye is the lamp (consciousness) of the body. Your true being, is Light! So if you know, you are a child of God, your only Father, you see everything in right/holy (Son) perfection, otherwise you are a child of Satan, full of darkness, and so becomes the world. I think the words are confusing. Any idea what the Greek translation is for these two? The way I understand "The eye" reference could it be Christ Jesus is speaking of the Spirit ..... see the eye is the window to the soul..... if the soul is good. It give light. Like a lamp. Or similar to the song." This little light of mine" the concept of the eye I think in this scripture. Because what's used as eye is singular. Not plural. I think Jesus is talking about the holy Sprint as opposed to those who are in darkness. Lacking the HOLY Sprint. They are slaves to the world

Your 2 eyes see 1% of what is going on. Your third eye (Pineal gland) will see the 99% remainder. Leave the matrix and spend your day's meditating to be enlightened (third eye opening). Or if you want to take a short cut, try DMT. I warn you though, it's going to scare you at first, but at least you'd learn the real truth
