Have had mine a few months now. I LOVE it!!!! Only 1 hiccup and it was due to operator error. Right at 800 rounds down range and haven't regretted a single penny spent on it. First pistol have had no need or desire to mod. Unlike my G19 (which has gotten lonely since I picked up the raider lol) raider is my EDC carry now with wilson combat elite 10 rounders filled with pilgrim 45+p with a streamlight trl-1s slung on bottom.Get the Raider, you won't regret it!

The one thing I’ve noticed about your shooting style is you have fantastic control! This drives me crazy…….., in a good way! I’ve been shooting for just over four decades now. Raider 45 is an Excellent pistol. I just bought a colt 01911C and I have had trouble with parts and fitmint...the tisas raider I had to work on the plunger spring, but alot better quality control on the tisas.😊

​@@semlohde1 You do know the real ones made by colts custom shop is $2000 right? And they still come with questionable quality. This is a replica of that gun for 1/3 the price with no mim parts. I'd say 600-700 for a production clone is plenty affordable. Springfield charges 800 for a few of their 1911s full of mim parts, no ambi safties, no grips with thumb scoops or rails.

The frame to slide clearance can be adjusted to tighter tolerances just as a Colt or Springfield, since the Frame and Slide are forged parts. Springfield Armory 1911 Garrison and Glock G 31 are my duty carries. Tisas tolerances can be adjusted by 1911 armorers. God Bless All ! And Thanks RDR for your Productions and Reliable Information ! Have a couple thousand rounds through my Tisas 1911A1 style .45. I love the dang thing. Paid $399 for it. Only issue I've had was the firing pin stop broke and lost a portion. Not enough to lose the firing pin, but it broke. $19 + S&H from Wilson Combat and the problem was solved. I'm impressed with the quality for the price.

I could wish that the Raider, particularly its frame, was a bit more precisely identical to the Colt M45A1 in the little details, as there are some manufacturing differences, but it's a great gun at an unbeatable price anyway.

It's actually a benefit that it's not. The "colt rail gun" frame is a massive pain in the ass for holsters. With the way it shaped, kydex holsters are tough, and safariland duty holsters require a specific rail gun holster. And this pistol actually works unlike several of the rail guns I have shot over the years.

These tisas 5” 1911’s are exceptional handguns for the price. I would suggest changing out a few parts with replacements from Wilson combat, but other than that they are good to go.

I shoot them. I am going to add some external stuff for fun.but if i want to upgrade a 500.00 1911 trigger, ignition etc. i just to shoot one of my 2011’s.

Bought one 2.weeks ago. Took it out for first 250 rounds. Lots of failures to lock ibto battery. Took to my local gunsmith. He polished a few parts and beveled thr underside of the extractor claw. Recommended only using oil and not grease. The thumb safety was a bit loose, so i used a Dremel took and the smallest cutting head to deepened the detent and installed the plunger spring and xplunger end tubes with Wilson parts. Now the thumb safety clicks on and off. Replaced the grips and long black triggers with a short trigger. Went back to the ranfe for another 100 rounds wi5h Chip MCormack 10 round mag and Wilson 8 round mag. Pistol lubed with Break Free and not grease. It didnt like the Chip McCormack 10 rounders. Probably becauee it doesn't use the non tip over follower asmd the first eound is compressed so tight it tipped up as soon as the slide pushed it forward. No issues with Wilson 8 rounders. So i just load with Ed Brown 7 rounders. I bought this as a truck and fishing gun when i go fishing some hidden spot, camping or hiking companion, or exploring spooku or scary locations late at night (i have a Streamlight TLR-1 1,000 lumen light to mount underneath for night shoots. It's just a knock around, toss around pistol. So it serves a purpose.

I reached out to SDS imports about two weeks ago for some customer service questions and products they were so rude and disrespectful to me. I will never buy any products from them anymore just because of that there were two gentlemen that were on the phone with me and they said they didn’t have the time Nor the resources to help me. And that’s just a little bit of the conversation but I will no longer buy any of the products.

I tell everyone to stay away from anything from SDS IMPORTS, I did all the customer service work and the 1911s are good to go but stay away from their shotguns. Also SDS is a horrible company to work for, I left because I cared too much, we had a full warehouse of non working shotguns that needs warranty repair work. They don't care about the customers, I tell people save up your money and get something better that anything from Turkey.

Big ups. My friend got a early 2020s era Army 1911a1 .45acp & it BROKE 2x even before any use! 🫤 The QC was sub par in my view. I'm a Army veteran, 4yr 1990s. SDS-Tisas did "upgrade" the 1911s; 2022 2023 but they are FAR from a decent budget target or collector model.

@@blackhawk2302 odd since I have reviewed 5 sds 1911’s zero issues and the large majority of my subs and customers have had great results as well. What ammo did you ahoot and what kinds of malfunctions did you have.

@rdrgear PMC bronze, Blazer and Federal. Stove pipes and failure to eject mostly. Raider has a recall. Everything I've read about Tisas says they're hit or miss. I collect 1911's, and my girsan is the most problematic followed by the tisas.

@ a manufacture is not going to say “hit or miss”. Bit you also used some of the cheaper Ammo probably didn’t upgrade mags. Try them again use some Wilson or chip McCormick mags, shoot something 230 mag tech or federal. Oil the pistol. I would bet money you see an improvement

@rdrgear Nope. I run Wilson's and Mec Gars in all my 1911's. I only run 230's. And you said Federal, that's one of the ones I use. It's not an ammo problem, none of my others have a problem with it. I'm well versed in maintenance also. It's not that either. Manufacturers don't say hit or miss but independent reviewers do. My Garrison had a few hiccups but smoothed out after a hundred rounds or so. For a hundred bucks more, it's far better than the raider.

Respectively disagree. I have a Colt competition, super reliable pistol, 500 rounds through it so far no malfunctions, except with a cracked Ruger Meg. I had one of those Turkish 1911s they suck jam on me three times at the range said to hell with it traded it in plus $1000 got my Colt happy with it.

I have multiple 2011's and. 1911's that needed reliability package upgrades. I have shot and reviewed 6 Tisas pistols so far. Not one had issues. Colt has been subpar for a really long time. And they have priced themselves out of the market for what they offer on their pistols.

@@rdrgear yeah, my Tisas kept having jam after jam. Try a bunch of different magazines. Nothing my Colt competition series has been 100% reliable. They were bought out by CZ. Colt rifles are shit but they still make pretty good 1911s I’m just not a budget 1911 person.

Most of their guns are well over 1200 and they are not making a pistol with the features to justify that price point. Hell even kimber gives you more for your money. Than colt today

But hey brother for all, I know your Tisas is probably better than mine I had the service model the build quality might be different with different Tisas 1911s as for my coat, it’s been reliable, but I will tell you the safety feels sloppy and gritty my trigger shoe is a little loose and the grip safety is poorly fit. It’s tuned, but it rattles.
