This is what separates Christianity from every other world view. God’s goodness is not dependent on us. God’s gifts to - and love for - us are independent from our own virtue. This is such a relief! Because I can trust God to provide for me and love me and be faithful to me, even as I fall short. Even when I sin. Even when I fail. For God covers my sin, He never fails us, and He is enough.
