Nothing is more inspirational than a man standing alone against the power of the institution governing world order. William Tyndale is not a household name in the same way Henry VIII is, but the 2 men not only lived at the same time, but had as synonymous influence on world history, each representing their side of societal hierarchy. Bloodthirsty, power hungry, opportunistic. All of these words are representative of Henry; it was Tyndale that made Henry’s break from the Roman Catholic Church and establishment of the Church of England understandable to the common folk of England. For it was Tyndale who dared to translate the holy scriptures from Latin, Greek and Hebrew to English, the only language spoken by the majority in England. Tyndale evaded his would be captures and was not perturbed until, one fateful day, he met his demise. This is the story of God’s Outlaw, the man that made God an Englishman.
