The blessings of Canada were given to a people that honoured God by building churches to him in every town, village and city. Now those churches are empty, and God is forgotten. When I was a boy no Premier of Ontario would ever deliberately invoke the wrath of Christians of any denomination. It would be political suicide. Now the people have decided they are clever and sophisticated and don't need a God. They have Science and Technology which are the new Baal and Moloch. Yes they are even in America! The Catholic church socially distanced every other pew and still insists on masks and won't let parishioners sing, even in Iowa where the mask mandate was stopped. Such a spirit of fear and oppression. I think it and the Protestant churches who do the same are the State sponsored churches!

Another story of hope at turning the wrath of the LORD: 2 Chronicles 33, Manasseh was guilty of grotesque sins like worshiping other gods in God's house, worshiping angels, he murdered his own sons by burning them as offerings, used fortune-telling, omens, sorcery and dealt with mediums and necromancers. Even after all the wicked things he'd done, he entreated the favor of the LORD his God, humbled himself, repented by taking away the foreign god's throwing the altars outside of the city, and knew that the LORD was God. Scripture records God was moved by Manasseh's entreaty and heard his plea.

He and his disciples were booted from many places, but he never locked horns with the local authorities. Love your enemies. Stand your spiritual ground, not the ground under your feet.
