@danielkambur1560 What I struggle with is there are so many monotheistic religions. We have the Jews, Christians, Muslims, Baha'is, and more besides. How is one to determine which is the correct faith? This is why I believe in God but not the religions man has created as idols in His image. I still explore and seek after the truth, and should one of these or another religion prove true and consistent with reality, I will see the truth in it should God in His infinite wisdom choose to guide me to same. I seek a relationship with God, and I seek it on God's terms, not the fallible terms of men.

Hell yeah brother. I was a diehard Christian for many years. I eventually grew out of it, but I still believe in God. I still believe in morals and values. Doctrine can sometimes deceive you, but NATURE cannot be faked - and that is where I find God.

At the end of the day, in order to have a personal relationship with God one must go through Jesus Christ as God cannot ignore sin. You must remember that if a “divine being” exist (which he clearly does) he is also a just judge and is holy. We know this because all human beings have a conscious to tell them right from wrong, this comes directly from God. The one who is perfect and without sin. Think about all the sinful and terrible things you have done in this life. Do you think God is just ignores that ? You cannot even approach God let alone have a relationship with him without the sin problem being sorted. Imagine if someone does you wrong, whether it be stealing, murder, racism, rape ect.... The next day they come to you and insist you just forget about it, sweep it under the rug and act like nothing happened.... You would be angered and enraged wouldn’t you not ? You wouldn’t accept this would u ? You would demand Justice so that person fully pays for the wrong they did. Trying to access God without the sin problem being resolved is essentially doing the same thing and expecting God to be ok with that. We cannot repay God back for the sins we committed as it’s just to many. That’s why every single human being who has ever lived is going to be judged. This is why we need Jesus, in order to avoid this terrible judgement. God sent Jesus Christ to live a perfect sinless life to only be crucified have his blood shed just to pay the penalty for our sins (John 3:16). The church has made Christianity into a fear based “religion”. With lots of tedious rules commandments ect..... However this is not what God intented, no one is saved by religion as it does nothing for the individual and it does not bring them any closer to God. However what God wants is a personal relationship between himself and man but that can only achieved through Christ. It’s because Jesus has been watching over your life and he wants you to come to him bro. Your whole life God has been calling you into a relationship with him. All you have to do is Accept Jesus Christ today as your personal Lord and saviour. He sacrificed himself for you on the cross and rose from the dead to pay for all your sins and so that you could be saved from spending your eternity in the lake of fire and so that you could have eternal life in heaven with the true and living God. All you have to do is believe this to be true and you will be saved. Believe he died for your sin. I grew up in religion and left it almost 4 years ago. I believe in GOD- definitely not religion anymore. Many Christians believe that we can’t have a relationship with god unless we have a Bible we follow and read daily and attend weekly services. They say to have a relationship with God and I said “I do have a personal relationship with God. I’m just not a Christian- I don’t claim that label because I don’t believe in the religious God”. That response is taboo. That then is when the Christian responds with, “you know God the way you WANT to know God. Only the Bible has the real TRUTH...etc etc etc”. Indigenous natives worldwide have there own views on God and spirituality, yet, here comes the white man that imposes upon us natives with his white saviour and there Christian beliefs that our pagan practices offends the white man's God. Despite this, there are zero historical records of, or references to, Jesus. It's hard to believe they would have no record of a so-called "Messiah". There is no historical evidence of Jesus.

I have been struggling with religion for a while now. I am born and grew up in Islamic household but I started doubting religion a couple of years ago. After exploring different aspects of different religions, I recently decided that eventhough I am monotheist, I just don't follow an organised religion anymore. It's not because I am cynical but it's because none of them make sense to me anymore because eventhough religious scholars try tk answer our questions, those answers just confirm that no one knows anything if that makes any sense?

I have also come to the realization, that I have been religious mostly because it was expected of me and the fear of going to hell, but there is alot of ambiguity to it, alot of things that don't make sense and most people twist the word to fit their narrative, which bothered me. That is like my own experience, I almost feel bad for saying this but there are a lot of things in islam that don't make sense to me, I don't follow it 100% but I follow and appreciate some aspects of it like the encouragement of studying and some stories that empower women ( forget about the other ones that doesn't ), I don't want to alter the religion in my head but I also need to be convinced in it to follow it, even though it's not official but I believe in allah fully, I just don't resonate with the religion itself anymore. same situation here, until now i'm still struggling to answer whenever i'm asked about my religion. i'm not really sure if i should call myself agnostic theist or what, but yeah it's kinda weird and difficult to explain to others. but it's fine if they don't get it, and i don't feel the need to convert them in what i believe either. at the end of the day what's important to me is that i made my life count and that i tried to be a decent human being in this world. i don't really mind if i go to heaven or not, i just want to genuinely care about the world and the people around me as much as i can.

This is a great video and you couldn't have explained it better. I was raised in Catholicism but for almost 20 years I have not considered myself catholic. I believe in something greater than us and I normally refer to it as God or Universe but I do not believe in religion. Speaking from my personal experience, this topic makes a lot of people uncomfortable, and unfortunately, most of the time they want to correct you and impose their point of view. I've been a Christian since I was 10, and I've served in many churches, a handful of denominations, for over fifty years. In the last few months, I've begun feeling disconnected from the formal church, but I'm struggling with the concept of believing on Jesus, having great faith in him, but losing faith in the His bride, the Church, a fellowship of believers. The Bible has an important place in my life; in many ways it provides guidance that I need, but I know how the modern Bible became what it is and how many men with agendas made choices about what would be in and what would be out. Church can provide some benefits such as a place for worship and fellowship for individuals to share their faith, but church is not a necessity for you to connect with and have a relationship with God. Thank you for this. Your video suddenly came up in my feed, and I do not believe in coincidences. I was raised a R.Catholic, but at approx. 15 yrs old I walked away from the church. Unfortunately, as I was taught that RC and God were the same, this meant I also walked away from God. For a while I didn't care, but eventually I found there was something lacking in my life. I did go back to the Catholic church, but since then I have made a distinction between faith and religion. My faith is something that I received from God. Religion is something 'man-made' to try and explain this faith. It isn't necessarily always wrong, but we should never forget that as soon as people get involved, some form of self-interest creeps in. I am still a catholic and luckily I found a group of discerning people, who are not blind followers of church doctrine and do not take everything for granted, but think for themselves with the brains God gave them to do so. I do, however, find it helps me keep and grow my faith to be able to discuss and celebrate God with others.

You are 100 percent accurate when it comes to having a blueprint that is not allowed to be questioned. And it goes against my nature so much that i begin to lose myself when i am unable to freely ask my own questions and receive personal answers. I'm even looked at differently or as if something is wrong with me in chuch groups or in chruch type communitys in general for having the courage to ask the tough questions and question things like the Bible. Other pastors. Or even other Christians. Like its something taboo. And its really tough. But i still feel gods presence and him working in my life. I still feel that relationship. I have a great relationship with God. I pray daily and truly believe he has my best interests in heart. However, I don't ascribe to any particular religion. I don't think I "buy" the Bible as the word of God and don't think any religion gets it right. Spirituality is a big part of my life and although I don't belong to any particular religion I still respect. I suspect each religion gets some parts right about God but none of them are absolute. I should also mention that I am a former Christian that was "saved" and baptized twice over the years. I no longer hold those beliefs though.

At the end of the day, in order to have a personal relationship with God one must go through Jesus Christ as God cannot ignore sin. You must remember that if a “divine being” exist (which he clearly does) he is also a just judge and is holy. We know this because all human beings have a conscious to tell them right from wrong, this comes directly from God. The one who is perfect and without sin. Think about all the sinful and terrible things you have done in this life. Do you think God is just ignores that ? You cannot even approach God let alone have a relationship with him without the sin problem being sorted. We are all sinners by nature and that is what seperates us from the living God as he can’t be around sin because as I just stated earlier he is perfect. Imagine if someone does you wrong, whether it be stealing, murder, racism, rape ect.... The next day they come to you and insist you just forget about it, sweep it under the rug and act like nothing happened.... You would be angered and enraged wouldn’t you not ? You wouldn’t accept this would u ? You would demand Justice so that person fully pays for the wrong they did. Trying to access God without the sin problem being resolved is essentially doing the same thing and expecting God to be ok with that. We cannot repay God back for the sins we committed as it’s just to many. That’s why every single human being who has ever lived is going to be judged. This is why we need Jesus, in order to avoid this terrible judgement. God sent Jesus Christ to live a perfect sinless life to only be crucified have his blood shed just to pay the penalty for our sins (John 3:16). The church has made Christianity into a fear based “religion”. With lots of tedious rules commandments ect..... However this is not what God intented, no one is saved by religion as it does nothing for the individual and it does not bring them any closer to God. However what God wants is a personal relationship between himself and man but that can only achieved through Christ. It’s because Jesus has been watching over your life and he wants you to come to him bro. Your whole life God has been calling you into a relationship with him. All you have to do is Accept Jesus Christ today as your personal Lord and saviour. He sacrificed himself for you on the cross and rose from the dead to pay for all your sins and so that you could be saved from spending your eternity in the lake of fire and so that you could have eternal life in heaven with the true and living God. All you have to do is believe this to be true and you will be saved. Believe he died for your sin. I'm going to add a comment that is quite different. I had spiritual experiences over 6 years ago whereby I was confronted with evil spirits. I sought help against the spirits, recognizing that God would never leave us alone on this Earth with these evil spirits without his help. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and for 6 years I have continued to be traumatized, tortured, both physically emotionally and psychologically by these evil spiritual beings in spite of my consistent efforts to pray to seek to repent and to be everything that God would want me to be. I was warned by the real God and there is one, that is an abomination to him, to believe that he would be someone who would come for a particular group of people, that he would only give his love to certain people, that there was a certain chosen people that he made when he made everyone, and that all religions were made up and not of him. He is all encompassing, he is not little figures or stories nor of what he made to be revered such as the sun the moon the plants the Stars etc. We are only to worship him as God who made everything, and everything else is an absolute evil system. That is why people who are very religious become very upsetting to the people around them, they are separated from the rest of the world as they are told that they are and they are told that they are to hate this world and hate their lives. God never said to hate our lives he wanted to love our lives and to love him and to love each other and to do good and to help people. He is in each one of us we do not need a holy spirit to have God. We have God and that is how we know right from wrong and it's how we love. It is an absolute abomination and hurt to him that we would believe in any person including Jesus Christ as being part of him and someone we should follow, when he already gave us everything we need. That is why the evil which has devised all of these religions and false ways of worshiping, have hurt so many people. We truly do have an evil group of beings that are trying to control the human race with their false understandings. I have been through a serious situation whereby I have consistently committed everything I had to overcoming this evil and I will tell you there is no way to when you believe in a false God. My God did not allow it for me to be to deceived this way. He told me over a year ago to let go of these understanding that they hurt him yet I was once again taken in by fear and a false love by these evil spirits to engage and agree to their understanding and tactics. Just as God promised they took everything away from me in such a brutal fashion I can't even explain it to you. There is no way that Jesus Christ and the Bible are the way the truth and the life, they are just the opposite they are the way to death. GOD IS, and GOD DOES NOT NEED A SPOKESPERSON. He made everything he does not need us to pinpoint any particular creation and worship it only to worship him. And I so wish I never made the mistake of believing again in the Bible it has been brutal in my life and I am grateful to be once again showing the truth, which happened again absolutely just today as I looked for confirmation which I had not found before which was other people who understood that there is a God who is all loving and loves us and does not want us to believe in any religion. I did not find the support I needed before I just found you now, and I know that there's others I will find. God had wanted me to share this truth with people before and I so wish I had. I am asking him now to relieve me of my burdens I know that he is going to help me and my boy to be with him in heaven and there is a heaven a good place with God who made everything and there will be peace for those of us who truly didn't understand the deception we were dealing with. On this planet there are evil factions in the spiritual and physical plane which are acting against us. I have been toe-toe with them I know exactly who they are and I know exactly how they work. I am sorry to my God that I ever believed anything other than he makes everything he is in all of us and when we do good we have good things happen to us and when we do bad we have bad things happen to us and it truly is as simple as that. Be respectful, be loving be good to people and all those people who are good and do those things are not going to hell because they don't believe in Jesus Christ. Religion is nothing but dividing of people and having people hate their life and waiting for something much better and that is an absolute assault against our God who made us. Yeah, I agree with you, wholeheartedly. I also believe there is a source consciousness that generated this and perhaps other "reality frames," as well. Due to each place around the world having different cultures and ways of doing things, different religons were created. Every religon worships the same God, but in their own way. All religons are correct. However religons have negative aspects as well. For ex: Specific religons say they are the only religon that is correct, and put down others for worshipping a different way. Specific religons stay in their specific areas due to cultural differences. If it were true that YOUR religon is the TRUE religon, why is specifically only a certain culture who uses it? Surely God wouldn't only save a specific part of the earth, becaude this is the hotspot for your religon and damn everyone else, who never really even got a chance to learn about it. There are isolated people on the otherside of the world, I guarantee you never heard about your religon. This doesn't mean they will be "damned" for eternity. Holy books were written by man. Over time many were translated and changed over time. I don't trust man, I trust God. I will not be led astray into thinking "Women must submit to men" bc a book says it. I won't be led astray by not accepting others because of sexualities. Worshipping God is about improving yourself and loving God and helping others, not about putting a group down because they are different from you. This world was divided as a test from God. Those who accept and love everyone for who and what they are despite differences, and do good, will be rewarded. No one knows what the afterlife really is. I dont know if there is a heaven or hell. However I do know that my God loves me, and I am a good person. I don't believe just bc I don't conform with a certain religon that ill suffer for eternity.

I deceided to not put a face, name, or a religion behind the god that i serve because at the end of the day it still doesn't make the relationship i have with God any less real, I ask my sister why is she a christian and she says i don't know, i guess its the only religion i know, and then she said that, she was ill one time and someone prayed for her and she got better so she believes in God and i'm like it was not the religion that healed you, it was the faith and belief you had in a Supreme being that caused your healing but it was not the religion.

I started questioning I guess my existence and all of these "beliefs" when I was around 14ish. I'm turning 21 this year. And can I just say that I cannot come to a conclusion. And there's that. I guess there is no conclusion. I admitted to myself that I do not know, and because I do not know, I do not believe. It's not like I can literally blindly go by with whatever is written down or said through religion cause why do I have to take it blindly without putting my own thought into it. And religion literally is a belief based system with you know other stuff here and there like culture, evolution, situational based changes and it's ever updating itself like this backup system of knowledge from generation to generation. So, on what basis can I define myself, my existence, is there something out there? What is everything? The more I think the more I don't know, the more so that I don't know, the more I am aware that I don't really know anything. Whatever that I know is actually based on what other people believe. So what do I essentially believe? See, it's extremely confusing and hard to understand so that's the thing. We don't really have to understand everything. I can admit that I don't know, and that there is no point in admitting yourself to the beliefs of another without putting your own thought into it all. I'm still growing intellectually, I have millions of unanswered questions and answers to unquestioned topics that I can't match so here's something that I learned, there is no point in matching answer to question and question to answer. I might be a contradiction to some here, but I believe in God, supreme omniscient being who is personal to me. I believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God. Yet I also believe that religion limits God. I was raised southern Baptist and I know people who would shame me for saying so. How can a human fully know God? We can’t . Our minds can’t because we are egoistic creatures. We want to prescribe a narrative to everything- our politics, our work, our family life. To say that a such and such religion knows all about God is blasphemy. He can do anything and can be anything because He is God. I feel I know of Him what I’m able to know with the limits of my humanness. Yet I’m amazed at all He is and how all will work out according to His perfect plan.

You cannot even approach God let alone have a relationship with him without the sin problem being sorted. We are all sinners by nature and that is what seperates us from the living God as he can’t be around sin because as I just stated earlier he is perfect. Imagine if someone does you wrong, whether it be stealing, murder, racism, rape ect.... The next day they come to you and insist you just forget about it, sweep it under the rug and act like nothing happened.... You would be angered and enraged wouldn’t you not ? You wouldn’t accept this would u ? You would demand Justice so that person fully pays for the wrong they did. Trying to access God without the sin problem being resolved is essentially doing the same thing and expecting God to be ok with that. We cannot repay God back for the sins we committed as it’s just to many. That’s why every single human being who has ever lived is going to be judged. This is why we need Jesus, in order to avoid this terrible judgement. God sent Jesus Christ to live a perfect sinless life to only be crucified have his blood shed just to pay the penalty for our sins (John 3:16). The church has made Christianity into a fear based “religion”. With lots of tedious rules commandments ect..... However this is not what God intented, no one is saved by religion as it does nothing for the individual and it does not bring them any closer to God. However what God wants is a personal relationship between himself and man but that can only achieved through Christ. It’s because Jesus has been watching over your life and he wants you to come to him bro. Your whole life God has been calling you into a relationship with him. All you have to do is Accept Jesus Christ today as your personal Lord and saviour. He sacrificed himself for you on the cross and rose from the dead to pay for all your sins and so that you could be saved from spending your eternity in the lake of fire and so that you could have eternal life in heaven with the true and living God. All you have to do is believe this to be true and you will be saved. Believe he died for your sin. Romans 3:24-26 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Romans 5:8-11 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. I hold a theory that religion is an horizontal aspect, a relationship, between people, whereas, Faith is vertical and a relationship with God. While can live without the dogma and restrictions of religion, and there are many. Just think of the atrocities carried out in God's name, or carried out by people in a position of trust within the church. Many of us need to believe in something bigger than ourselves, that we can turn to in thanksgiving or in our anxiety. This is probably why we ask the questions why are we here, what is our purpose in life.

I find your comments interesting and maybe a bit provoking in a positive way. One thing I have come to believe is that God is not external to us, but we exist in Him and He in us. This is kind of a quantum view although in that realm god is seen as our source, as a field or matrix that we all exist in. Thinking and questioning is a wonderful thing.

People only see religion as empty ritual. It is time to see religion as the practice which leads to righteousness, justice, mercy, wisdom, love, peace, so on and so forth.
